Looks to be back in stock with around ~70 copies and is $10 off for some reason. I definitely remember paying $49.99

don't get us wrong, those types of people definitely make up a significant portion of why yesterday's announcement caught so much fire. there's always going to be those collectors that see these types of album reissues hyped and think they have to own it to be apart of the craze in some sort of way (regardless of ever hearing the artist or music). I think the same can be said about albums like dark side of the moon where it's been drilled subconsciously into everyone's head that they have to own a copy, again, regardless of how little they like it because "everyone considers it a classic must own record" now pair this mentality with an extremely out of print album being reissued through a "music discovery" service like VMP and you now have an additional 20k+ people thinking "hey, everyone is going crazy over this, I need to get it, must be good!!" and then, pair it again, with a "news" outlet like Pitchfork taking this big music news (which it was) and exposing it to another huge audience that probably don't even own record players or collect vinyl but were probably considering the purchase because again, hyped must-own collector/listener mentality. just my $.02 -

my exact thoughts as well, but whatever. at least it looks like they are finally moving and getting to their destinations. however, I'm definitely gonna think twice next around with ordering a release directly from TRL, especially when they get distributed to my local shops anyways. -
pretty disappointed in the official list, especially for it being the 10th anniversary. c'mon RSD, at least right the wrongs of the debauchery of a release that was Government Plates or have something worth going bonkers for. meh at absolute best
-
this. and by the wording it sounded like they already had it in stock ready to go. they probably pulled it so people will go for the RSD release first and foremost

thanks for the heads up. Sounds like BM has black vinyl already in stock for this for when the RSD sells out. description seems to confirm it (for those interested in retail black)

they got back to me saying the same thing, if the DL/digital is any indication of the pressing quality, it sounds absolutely beautiful. can't wait -
no but seriously, if it is, I'm going for the RSD variant that appears to be $30 retail

the news of this was also distributed by Pitchfork, which is why I think they sold out so fast. -

I went ahead and did the 3-month since referral credit makes it almost nothing anyways. I'm also hearing next month's AOTM will be just as good, who knows though -

Ive gotten the emails but don't see the credit actually applied in my account on the VMP site, is that normal or will it appear there when it's been added? -

yeah, they changed it after that. people were technically getting free store access for a couple weeks and then cancelling cuz they didn't want the AOTM. side note, does anyone know when someone successfully uses your referral? -
