We are stoked to announce the upcoming release of Ontario’s @bnoboysnightout NEVERMIND 2. It is a collection of their early material, including Broken Bones and Bloody Kisses, You Are My Canvas, and their very first demo recordings, all conveniently placed on a single LP with brand new artwork from @wallofyouthand remastered/cut by @carlsaff and pressed right here in Chicago by @smashedplastic ! It will be out officially on July 16, 2021 nearly 20 years to the date of their first ever show! The vinyl pre-sale starts TOMORROW April 2 at 11 AM CST via the Forge Again Records @bandcamp. First press will consist of two variants (pictured) and you can also snag an exclusive new BNO shirt design based on the artwork (also pictured). They will start shipping as soon as we have them (June? Hopefully!)

I got my copy of this today. Top notch all around*. The pink variant looks fantastic. Liner notes are great the new cover is brilliant. A d-side full of b-sides. Nice work!

Sorry, just saw this. They'll have them in a week or two. Release date isn't until 1/22 so not sure when they'll list it. You can probably drop them a line and ask them to make sure to hold one for you!  

Listening to the test pressing right now and it sounds fucking GREAT. These should be shipping by Christmas assuming everything goes smoothly with the print/etc. 
 
There are also VERY few copies left. Maybe a dozen considering I need to hold some for my distributor (Cobraside) - so if you want to cop before the end of the year, I suggest ordering ASAP. Otherwise you'll have to wait until it's in stores in late January or for a repress.

Also currently listening on Bandcamp. This is actually the first time I have ever heard the whole album--previously I had only heard TFA songs on Deep Elm comps. I had dug them, but never explored.

Looks like there's going to be an announcement of this album being on vinyl for the first time ever later today. I'll update as info comes in.

These guys rocked and the LP kicks ass. Def check it out if you’re into the ‘Chicago sound’ at all (ie mathy, aggressive post-hardcore with an unusual vocal style). Sorta like later Unwound, but also early U.S. Maple, Forstella Ford, NoMeansNo, or Sweep The Leg Johnny.

Not sure anybody gives a shit one way or another, but my dumb label put out this dumb album by my dumb band in 2002 and finally pressed a vinyl version of it in even dumber 2020. We also recorded one new song for it on the eve of the pandemic. Only pressed 100 (even that is probably too many) at Smashed Plastic in Chicago and it turned out very nice.

Here's an excellent review from Razorcake #12 (from back in 2002) that will sell you on it:
I thought it was the band from Almost Famous, but it's the band from "Almost AmRep 1990" doing a disjointed-music-and-lyrics, chicago thing that's interesting for the short period between when it starts and when it becomes clear there's just too much of it(so much, in fact, that many of the measures have five beats instead of four. Humans have two legs and so can't dance properly in 5/4 time).
 
We also made a music video for the new song using footage we shot back in 2002 so maybe check that out too:
