  1. I have all of these but Beat Connection. I collect Misfits, so I would be reluctant to let those go, but I have 3 1st press Earth ADs on different colors. My So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes is 2009 pink, and am also reluctant to let that one go. Dookie is German green, most expensive Dookie, so I'm not sure if you're looking for quality records or cheap reissues. And Out Come The Wolves is 2009/2010 white vinyl. Would trade for a first press black. Animal Boy is UK pressing, SJ is US pressing. Punk In Drublic is a recent repress.
  2. We got: Everything NM condition. 1) American Gothing/Hanging out x2 LP on purple/green $27 2) super limited Dr. Frank split on purple vinyl $35 3) Sleepy Hallow on orange $15 4) flav split $8 5) Graveyard Girlfriend $22 6) Magic 8-Ball (red labels) $20 7) Island Of Pogo Pogo $11 8) life sentence, 1st press black /300 $make offer 9) I bleed rock N roll 1st press mixed colors $maker offer 10) Misfits - Walk Among Us (blue) $26 not ppd, please don't ask me to lower prices unless you can show its cheaper somewhere else. Wanted: Misfits - Walk Among Us 1) clear 2) 2009 140g sealed 3) 2009 180g sealed 4) Italian pressings Misfits Land of The Dead on orange, green I sold a lot of Misfits stuff I want to find again, so if you have any you wanted to part with
  3. Thanks for asking. Strange, though. The pink cover was a pressing error. That's why the subsequent pressings were purple. Warner released purple cover w/green logo in 88 and Warner owns Rhino. Maybe someone is too lazy to play with hues in photoshop?
  4. I broke down and ordered this: Note, that's not the hot topic jacket, that's the 82 2nd press, I just wanted to see how this should have looked. I will say 2 good things about this release. The 180 gram vinyl is a nice touch and it actually sounds better than any of the other reissues. I'm not sure why, possibly a new mother stamper. Same matrices.
  5. That looks like it was packaged pretty well. Was the damage caused by packaging or from the postal services? I'm going to guess that you ordered this from the US, it was damaged in the US and they took 2 months to send it. When I lived overseas, any time a record arrived in that condition, it always took 2 months to receive. If that's the case, you should be posting in this thread: http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/88449-fuckin-usps-network-distribution-centers-the-thread/page-37
  6. I got that exact same box from someone in the US when I was overseas.
  7. You would think that a "cushion mailer" would at least have bubble padding. Opening this made a huge mess, not recommended for allergy sensitive (my poor wife).
  8. My last 2 orders were sent in paper bags. No bubble wrap. No cardboard inserts. Just paper fucking bags. What the fuck is wrong with people? This has been pissing me off for 5 years now. I know I made a thread like this a few years ago, but fuck it, here's a new one. Post the shitty excuses for packaging you receive here: This was an LP.

  10. You can send it back to Amazon for free. They'll give a UPS label you can print out.
  11. If you sell an expensive item, it is your responsibility to secure the tracking number. No excuses. Leading someone on for months is lame and reminiscent of true scammers.
  12. This is bullshit. Express priority (EMS) issues a tracking number. It's pretty much the safest and quickest way to send things. Also, Matt saying that he had an extra $300 box set and would send that to you and then leading you on and on while playing nice.. I heard this song before to the tune of negative $500. The onus of proof is on Matt for not providing the tracking info.
  13. Yes, the bin obscures most of the spine and you have to be 6' tall to see them.
  14. Anyone know when the hot cash thing will be finished and records go back online? Also, Tampa International Plaza hot topic has the worst display ever. They are using this double-sided 3-bin with each side the shape of an E (back-to-back) with the bins right on top of each other. The top bin higher than I am tall (5'6), so I cannot even see what records are on top without reaching for records out of sight and taking them down to browse in my hands. Many of the records have been damaged from the shelf and are not in alphabetical order. The one record I came to find.. 1 copy was in stock, but half of its shrink had been removed and the vinyl itself was scratched up in 3 places. Really piss-poor management of the only store in the Tampa/Clearwater area that sells vinyl.
  15. I don't buy records anymore unless it's from a handful of core bands I like. Still love vinyl, but I'm all about building a small, focused collection and avoiding stuff that just takes up shelf real estate. I have 2 records from Balzac coming soon (and 3 CDs) from Slumberland the new Allo Darlin LP + a Veronica Falls single
  16. The size of my collection has been determined by 4 factors: 1. storage space 2. plans to move back overseas 3. i didn't play many of my records 4. need money for new releases 1) I have 2 x 4 expedit flanked by 2 5x1s. In my heyday about 2 years ago, almost all shelves were full of records. Currently, only 6 shelves are full of LPs and 2 of 7"s. 4) So I had a huge collection, mostly punk and I once collected the entire Slumberland catalog. Then I got really into the Misfits a few years ago and found myself only listening to Misfits, Danzig stuff and Balzac (my favorite band). This has gone on for a few years, so I sold half my collection and used it to buy rare Misfits records and work myself halfway up the 500 - 600 releases of the Balzac discography (I listed around 430 of them on discogs, so check it out). I'm much happier a $1500 record of a band I love than 200 records I don't really care for.
  17. Sold mine on eBay for $3. Got a lot of messages from people saying "I forgot to bid."
  18. I built my record collection in Japan. Here are some Japanese releases I have: Judy Ongg <3 Cigaretteman Japanese Screeching Weasel tributes + Rocky theme Peter Japanese Manges releases Japanese Misfits releases Japanese Balzac releases
  19. If it's an early Misfits record, then yes, it is worth it: http://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?searchtext=misfits+die+purple+sealed&x=0&y=0 If not, you do risk wear from the shrinkwrap, but I've purchased sealed records that were 20 years old and their corners were fine. It all depends upon your main reasons for purchasing the record. I'd like to get a sealed copy of my favorite album (it's my avatar image). 3000 were pressed in 1997. I actually bought a sealed one last year, but opened it to replace the used copy I purchased.
  20. I listened to a few songs. Usually I'd be content to say nothing, but you seem to have no problem with kicking people in the nuts in order to promote your music and take the "moral high ground." Plus this is a vinyl forum Good luck with your tape.
