Yes, their hearts are in the right place. So is yours. But publicly shaming someone for selling records on eBay is lame. I love what Todd and his wife did with this release, the effort they put in and all of that. I can't wait to spin my standard copy - I wasn't lucky enough to score tie-dye. But, I think it's really lame for a label to call out a flipper on a forum. Send a PM, message them through eBay, whatever. Don't call them out publicly and encourage people to sabotage their auction.

While I think the process Todd set up was fine - it basically gave everyone with access to this message board (ie. anyone with a web connection) the ability to buy this. All you had to do was have $90 and be online at noon central on a Sunday. There was no preferential treatment.

Meh. It's the cost of doing business. I try to ballpark what shipping will be, sometimes it works in my favor, sometimes it doesn't.
 
I use recycled mailers, but buy tape and markers and invest the time waiting in line at the post office - which is frustrating enough that I could charge double the amount of shipping just for that alone.

You know what I like? Records! Don't give a shit about color, cover, vinyl thickness. If I can put it on my turntable and listen to some great tunes, I'm happy. If those tunes happen to be on a more limited color of vinyl, that's a small bonus, but in no way a deal breaker. Colored vinyl is cool; black vinyl is cool; records are cool.
