i was not aware that they made one that looked like that. Mine is a picture disc, but it has the cartoon kids on it.

awesome label. and easily the nicest looking record of the year. probably the nicest looking record of the decade, this looks awesome. one of my all time favorite releases

these guys rule. they have messed up a couple orders of mine in the past, but they always make it up, and fix the problem right away.

oh man that massive attack album is so good. i am looking for it as well, but im not willing to pay what it goes for, and i just never seem to come across it in a used bin anywhere. this board needs more massive attack love.

technically a white whale is something that you have never even really seen in person, and you may start to doubt its existence because you just cant track it down anywhere. bonus points if hardly anyone else has ever seen it. not sure if something up for sale every week or two can count as a white whale

i didnt realize this was out of print. i just seen it in a hot topic out of town last week for 3 bucks. they had like 6 copies. the local record store here has a handful for like 2 bucks each

i have these in my distro too actually (since vc is sold out) this was the only thing that was pressed on vinyl. which was too bad. awesome band, that not enough people ever appreciated. if someone put out liquid lungs on vinyl i would love you long time.

if anyone wants the 5" splits with dawncore you should go to the vlv board. user hc4thehc is selling them. numbered out of 50 and only a handful left.

i think you missed the point of what i was saying. I didnt attack your label, or say it sounds like what VC releases at all. nor did i say the music talked about on this board is all the same (in fact i said the exact opposite, by giving examples of bands talked about and saying they dont sound similar), so i guess im not sure why you got hung up on the bands sounding musically alike. more of what i meant is that its a very small number of releases talked about here. and once again, its not personal. do a search, there are more me first and the gimme gimme threads for a specific release or two, than there are for all of black metal.....all bands together. there are 10 times as many against me threads as there are threads about ANY release in the grind genre. there are more Nofx threads about a single release as there are hip hop threads. there are 20 times as many minus the bear threads as there are about every electronic artist/group put together. once again, its not an attack on this board, or any label/people on the board. the dude just asked how to keep up with all the releases. there are hundreds of releases on vinyl every week, and by just checking this board like was answered by other people, you end up finding out about five of them, mostly being more mainstream type stuff you would find out a lot of places. so i was simply giving a suggestion on how to find more obscure releases, and non hyped releases, and more releases. i definitely wasnt saying this board, or your label were bad.

a good way is to find a seller that you like their stuff of, and save them as a favorite seller or bookmark their stuff, and then browse through their listings every week, or whenever. or when you find a record you like, click view sellers other items, and browse that way. another way (my favorite) is to go through the browse function. Click on Buy, and then Music, and then Records. then you can click on Rock, and click on emo and browse through all the records listed in the emo category, or indie or punk, or metal or whatever section you want. that way you dont end up missing a record you want just because you didnt think to specifically look for that band name.

its possible that media mail could go priority sometimes. they fill the trucks up if there is any space leftover. when you could get surface mail for overseas they did that too. fill up the plane with the air mail stuff, and if there was room leftover fill up the rest with surface packages to give it a full load. so occassionally if there isnt enough to make a full load of priority/first class, they grab some parcel/media/book rate stuff to fill in.

delivery confirmation is only 0.18 with media mail, and free for priority if you buy/print postage online.

some of the stuff may be a little more expensive, but brent always puts a ton of time and effort into the releases and they always look top notch. definitely no skimping with the deluxe releases. order from him and support him for sure. top notch guy.

the excursion release was a different record altogether. i think all of them were pressed on white vinyl. at least all of them that i have ever seen. and ive seen 3 or 4 different covers too. awesome record, and awesome band though. much better than anything the other members did (well maybe not sharks keep moving)

the problem with that is (and not to be a dick), but this board only talks about a very narrow scope of vinyl releases. there is almost no variety with it (granted, i know minus the bear doesnt sound exactly like mewithoutyou who doesnt sound like the latest no idea records color variation band, but you get the basic gist). you end up limiting yourself to a handful of hyped releases. personally, i think a good way to find out is to get on mailing lists of labels/distros that you like. that way, when something is about to go up for pre-order, or for sale, or is even in the works, you are the first to know, before it makes its way around to messageboards. also, go check out your local record store a lot, they will get a lot of new stuff in quickly, and you can flip through stuff until something catches your eye, and you can check the band out on the net and see if its something worth your while.
