  1. Where I'm moving to in Chattanooga is really close to Ootlewah... Let's find this guy and TP him! Or something...
  2. Alright, which one of you fuckers is flipping a tie-die? http://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-LILLINGTONS-Tie-Dye-6-LP-Vinyl-Box-Set-Rare-SOLD-OUT-Ltd-x-30-/151014377175?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item23292886d7
  3. are yall getting shipping confirmations on these or are they just showing up? EDIT: Nevermind. Maybe I should just learn how to read.
  4. When we saw the Slackers in 2011, my fiance painted a picture of Vic and he thought it was pretty cool so he gave her the Ska is Dead split with The Forthrights. Also, bought The Bad Cards 7" and The Hall Trees 7" from Jay and Glen last time we saw them. The Slackers have always been super nice everytime I've seen them.
  5. Personally, I like the new album, but I miss Scotty's presence on it. I'd rather have some Littlest Man Band stuff pressed than any of the older RBF stuff. Or, I just hope Scotty does more solo work cause that stuff is great.
  6. As long as it's not a picture disc like the last one, I'm interested.
  7. I don't think we're approaching this the right way, I mean I was like Eric at that time in my life and I definatley didn't want to hear what we're all telling him. I think what Eric needs to know is that not al the BLAH BLAH BLAH RESPONSIBILITIES shit, cause I'm sure he knows that. What I feel like he needs to know is that things truly will get better, high school can be a really shitty time and for me, it was %100 the worst time in my life. After I left for college things got way better for me. And I delt with the resposibilities as they came to me. I can say that even though I have more to be stressed about now, I'm way better off than I was in high school. So Eric, what I'm trying to say is, just try to remember that things get better. You will find love, you will be happy, even if it's just temporary happiness. That's what we all live for, is that temporary happiness. Just try and take the bullshit with a grain of salt and not take life so seriously. Also, here's a confession of my own: I wanted to kill myself as a teenager in high school. This song kept me from doing it, and I still cry pretty much every time I hear it.
  8. I mean, cut the kid some slack. I've been there. I was bullied relentlessly in high school and went through so much shit. Seriously, high school was the worst time in my life. Kids can be dicks to each other. Try to cheer up, Eric! Things'll get better once you get into college, loose that baby fat and start getting laid. At least they did for me.
  9. Yeah, we've talked about it, and it's more complicated than that. She has several health things going on that prevents her from doing it more often. I told her I'd be cool with just getting some kind of sexual attention more often, like even the occasional handy-j every now and then. Everytime I've asked though it seems like she doesn't want to though. Once we move and get into shape I think that'll help things though. That's what I hope at least.
  10. Yeah, I wish my girl would pin me against a wall or something like that. Shit. I feel like alot of the passion in our relationship has just been sucked out since we've been living together for awhile. Every time we do it, it's kinda the same routine. Maybe it's cause we both gained weight. She tells me she'd do it more often if we were both skinnier... This is both a confession and general conversation.
  11. I need to get more Marvin Gaye. I've really been meaning to. I thouroughly enjoy my Otis Redding records.
  12. Moving tomorrow! I didn't realize how much vinyl I've accumulated over the past few years til it was time to pack it all up to leave... Also, got a bonus check from work for my 1 year anniversary. Glad they at least waited long enough to lay me off for me to get that! And if anybody asks, no, I'm not selling off alot of my vinyl like most people do when they move/get laid off. I actually saved up some money instead of spending irresponsibly on it like some people on here. And I have 2 jobs now, the other job I'm transfering to Chattanooga.
  13. To each their own. Personally I like it, although at first, I found it to be a little too poppy but it's just so damn catchy that I couldn't help but to like it. Also, I'm a sucker for vocal harmonies. It's a good record, you just can't take it too seriously.
  14. If this was "Progress" I'd be excited... I just never got into this record. I like all the other ones except for this one. Somebody needs to repress all of their stuff though, that would be excellent. And yes, I even like a few of the songs on "the shitty ska record", as everybody's refering to it, too.
  15. Haha, yeah, I'm also hesitant to take music advice from anybody on this board so I can see where you're comming from. But yeah, if you know what those bands sound like, that's pretty much what Masked Intruder sounds like only a smidge poppier. Also mix in some 50's doo-wop style melodies/harmonies and lyrics about stalking girls and robbing people at knifepoint.
  16. Do you like The Lillingtons or Teenage Bottlerocket? If so, check them out. If not, well, then just go fuck yourself.
  17. I want total likes counter back as well! It's how I base my value as a human being!
  18. and yes, I do have quite a few new records that don't have pops and clicks.
  19. Ok, maybe I was overexadurating there. The point I was trying to add is that he said that you could add pops and clicks to a FLAC and have it sound like vinyl, which I'm sure all of us know that this isn't true. If he can't hear the difference between his vinyl and a FLAC with "pops and clicks" added, then yes, I would say it is time to upgrade something.
  20. I like CDs in with the vinyl! Well actually my girl enjoys it so she can take a copy in the car with her while I just rip it and use digital.
  21. While you're correct, I also care about the fidelity of said music and I enjoy having a physical copy. I just think vinyl is the best sounding way to listen to music as far as fidelity is concerned and I'm sure alot of people here would agree with me. Also, if you're hearing pops and clicks in your records, maybe it's about time to ditch that Crosey and move up to something a little bit better and truly appreciate what this format has to offer you.
  22. Yes, after 10 they kinda entered their "ballad" phase, which I just don't care for.
  23. I mean, who the fuck wants a pressing of Lincoln Park - Hybred Theory. Oh wait....
