  1. This my third year going, and first without a badge. Should be interesting.
  2. The Aeffect - "Burning In the Bed On Fire" Remember when Fueled By Ramen put out stuff that wasn't for scene kids? Or for kids of a different scene, at least? Anyhow, this shit was all Depeche Mode-y, and the demo was way more rough around the edges than the final version that showe dup on their album.
  3. Updated to reflect stuff moved to eBay: http://shop.ebay.com/thenuthouse/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg= And Jason? I'd be willing to let that Wood Panel Pacer and the Rob's House 7"/DVD for $30 PPD.
  4. Updated 1/20/10, because I picked up a sixer of Boulevard Irish Ale and had nothing better to do.

  7. Add me to your mailing lists, folks: nick dot spacek at pitch dot com I run the music blog for the Pitch in Kansas City, and I'm always looking for MP3s / videos / upcoming releases. If your bands are coming through Kansas City or Lawrence, that's a plus, too.

  11. Had an artist / poet girlfriend once. Married a woman with a solid head on her shoulders. Much less crazies these days.
  12. I will go see this at a weekday matinee. Weekends will be full of kids in eyeliner and faux-Edwardian wear. *shudder*
  13. Get it straight from the label: http://www.cylsrecords.com/oldstore/ They take Paypal.
  14. I got Converse frames, and they were pretty cheap AND sturdy. The wife and I have both used Ted Baker frames in the past, and they're pretty much tops. They run about $120 a pair, though.
  15. I saw AFI open for Sick of It All once. Indecision was on that bill, too. Man, I miss shows that were top-to-bottom solid like that. Even the locals were good on that bill.
  16. I love this band. This album is head and shoulders above their debut - and that was stellar, as it was. Still, this sounds like a band, as opposed to a side project.
  17. Anyone know where I can track down a tour copy of Volume 4? I managed to see 'em three times last year to get 1-3, but I'd like 4 for a complete set.
  18. Unsurprisingly, all the schools in a 50-mile radius of me are closed, but KU still has classes. I'm so glad I graduated back in May.
  19. I shouldn't be allowed to name animals. Our cats are named Licorice Maus, Stealth Opponent, and Busy Opalina.
  20. Respond. Ask for more details. Some people just can't spell or use grammar properly. I'd advise against taking anything other than cold, hard cash, however.
  21. We bought 2 LP+Shirt packs, four 7"s, a 10", 4 LPs, and a v-neck t-shit and got change back from two $20 bills when we hit the one in Topeka this afternoon.
