Based on the video Fat just posted, looks like a NUFAN box set is happening sometime soon.

I don’t personally find it annoying. I have always just been curious about the behind the scenes aspect of additional dates and MyEnemy explained it really well. 

I work in live music and toured for a dozen years, so I do know how it basically works. It’s too much to REALLY get into, but agents put holds on venues, knowing shows/tours are going to kill. This one in particular is a big deal, bigger than I imagined though. If a show sells out fast, they’ll confirm the second/third show, if it isn’t already. Usually if a show doesn’t sell out in a decent amount of time , they’ll let the holds go or just cancel the second/third show they had booked. With it being so far in advance, I’m assuming most venues don’t have too many holds in Feb, not to mention this is a big deal, so any venue/promoter will make it work.

So wild Unwound sold out the Wiltern in half an hour. 2022 on some crazy shit.

The sticker number is what they ordered and the weird odd number reflects the overages they're receiving. Can't change the sticker after the fact. C'mon guys we should know this🤦🏼‍♂️

Pooooooof! This just reminded me that my partner and I are going to the South for two weeks in less than two weeks. I didn’t even think about this until now, because I feel like, subconsciously, I was trying to get away from buying records, and just my life in music. Who the fuck am I kidding?!
 
Anyways, still haven’t listened yet, but I’m very very much excited. Landed yesterday, and the deluxe tri-color looks so cool. I’m gonna use the slip mat as a frisbee I just throw at the cats.

Pretty sure it was only the rarest variant. I got mine. But they’re still waiting on the other.

Glad I woke up early today, and even more glad that Relaspe’s site crashed and I was able to get /138 at 8:30 AM.

I’ve had to claw and punch my way through plenty of gatekeepers to discover and appreciate bands that I still enjoy today.  I see nothing wrong with it, and I’ll gladly back anyone who acts like a elitist after doing their own exploration and research to establish their tastes.  I can respect that more than anyone who’s spoon-fed their tastes from the latest trending videos on TikTok, and immediately curls into the fetal position when you so much as imply they’re bandwagoning.
It’s cool when bands get more exposure and can afford to record new material or go on bigger tours. I’d never argue that.  I’m not going to pretend that I was listening to Duster in the late 90s but I feel like I got into them pretty organically, and at a fair time.  Anyone who discovered them through TikTok in the last year doesn’t deserve to be burned at the stake, and I don’t feel guilty giving them some shit about it. 🤷‍♂️

Also, I’m more than okay about gatekeeping anything and everything. How do you think I became the asshole I am today? Years and years of having to deal with crap and figure it out. The younger generation(s) need more of that to help them along this path. There’s too much “kid gloves” when it comes to how children are with music and culture these days. Not to mention how they speak and act about it as well.
