Excited to see them at Milwaukee Metal Fest today.  I picked up the Decibel variant and was pleasantly surprised when it was $24.99.

I have 5 of their records and have seen them live a few times years ago.  After having kids it made me realize I'm not interested in supporting someone like that.  Weird stuff, I know.  Good for you if you are.  They need every fan they can get.

Shipping is high.  When they did this earlier in the year it was $8 for most records, a few were $10.  From what I saw yesterday, everything was $12.50 shipped per record.

Spot on.  I did jam side 1/2.  Sounds good.  I’d have to pull my OG to see if it sounds any better but at least the sound isn’t garbage.

Got the Dr. Dre today.  Shipped Fed Ex so it comes quickly but is in a regular record mailer with no padding.  Nice top seam split because they left the records in the sleeve.  The sleeve was one of their selling points…..so that’s cool.  Asking if they can send a replacement sleeve but not holding my breath.  Sleeve is single pocket, for the money and 2 lp it should have been gatefold.  The insert picture of Dre is super low quality.  Haven’t listened to it yet but am already on the fence moving forward.

I know what mailers you're speaking of.  Those things are the worst.

I like this record and haven't really cared for much of their output since the Blue record.  Side 2 has a weird silent (very quiet) transition, but other than that, I find it to be a really enjoyable album.  The talk-singing didn't feel as awkward on the 2nd spin fwiw.  To your point, it does feel really short.

Agreed.  I found some awesome records at a flea this weekend but most were visually VG so I passed.  That said, one record looked great but plays G+.  It must have groove damage that I can't see from heat because it's still jacked after cleaning.  The other 5 I bought from same collection based on persons name on the jackets were great.  Records............but here I am complaining about a Europe record sounding like shit.  I need help.

No one really buys anything below vg+ (media) anyway unless it's incredibly rare and sought after. Under VG is straight garbage, and vg is often pretty bad.

 

It's pretty intuitive if you think about it at all and speak English.

VG shouldn't be garbage if it's graded correctly, but also skirts a fine line of G(+) depending on the grader.  Once you get to that grading, visual doesn't cut it any more and it needs to be listened to which is obviously time consuming if you're selling in volume.  It's a slippery slope.  I try to be ultra conservative, don't have time to play grade, and probably pitch records that sound better than they look at times but that's life.

Mine finally arrived today!  I got Vault #5 - Aladdin Theater which I'm pretty excited about.  I was hoping for #3 but am more than happy with what I received.

The new Outer Heaven record is so good.  AOTY for me atm and I’m comfortable saying that will likely last.  Pallasite Chambers is one of the sickest songs ever.
