  1. Nice! A few years ago I took a posted a pic of my entire Mike collection on Instagram. I should update it since he's released 4 things since then, because he's awesome like that.
  2. Black Star - Fix Up/You Already Know 7" Braid - Kids Get Grids 7" Joan Jett - Flashback 2x12" Polaris - Music from the Adventures of Pete and Pete 12" Black Star is probably not going to happen because I refuse to pay the rate big 7"s are going for these days, but I want to check first. I've seen all the previous Joan Jett releases in stores well past RSD, so I'm not worried about that one. I don't think the Braid 7" will be too hard get, hopefully. And then there's the Polaris LP. That's the one I have my doubts about.
  3. Opening day tickets purchased. Is it April 6 yet?
  4. After seeing some of the people on Twitter say homophobic stuff I considered replying with all kinds of comic spoilers. I'm usually against that, but seems like a reasonable time to make an exception.
  5. Happy Spring Training Day, everyone! The pitchers and catchers for my team aren't reporting today, but I'm still so damn happy it's finally back.
  6. Cusack's reactions make up for the lack of narration from the book. Love it.
  7. I wonder if there's any way to get this without Zooey singing my favorite Smiths song.
  8. Duh! It comes with a free digital download. Which saves you from having to buy the CD and makes this record invaluable.
  9. Nope, but now I have hope that the Clerks soundtrack will drop to this price. I do like a few of those non-album tracks. Especially Seaweed and Bad Religion's songs.
  10. Nice. I always celebrate a new release from Rocky. On his last living room tour he played a song called "I Always Wanted to be a Tenenbaum". Before it started I thought, fun, a reference to a movie I like. Then you listened and it got sad. I wonder if it just didn't make the cut or was renamed to one of these. And if it is one of these, I wonder if he changed the title since it's not only a quote, but already a name of the one of songs from the movie's soundtrack.
  11. Allen? Boy you guys in Europe had a whole different version of this movie, didn't you?
  12. I'll have to double check what colors I have of each but I'd love to help. Less Than Jake played a huge part of getting me into vinyl way back because they made it so fun. They were the only ones I'd buy variants of and boy did I have a ton of stuff from them. I did sell all of my 7"s as part of my 7" purge years ago as long as I had the songs on compilation releases. But I think some of my LPs are colors that you don't have on there. I'll PM when I get to chance to to compare.
  13. Just saw PO: Gin Blossoms and thought we'd finally get a press of the My New Miserable Experience and Congratulations I'm Sorry. So many other great 90's albums have gotten repress and I've been waiting on those. My New Miserable Experience and The Wallflowers' Bringing Down the Horse are definitely at the top of my list to press from that era. I got to see these guys on my birthday a few years ago and it was a lot of fun, so maybe I'll pick this up. Maybe.
  14. Well my Facts LP is white and I'm pretty sure Something About Airplanes had some blue.
  15. I've been buying one for years. I make my money back so fast from End of an Ear and the Drafthouse alone.
  16. I've been noticing this a lot lately. Just this week I went to check out both for the Gone Girl soundtrack. End of an Ear had it for $7 cheaper, plus I got to use my Go Local card which gave me an extra 10% off. Honestly I don't think it's so much that Waterloo is overpriced, it's that End of an Ear has great prices.
  17. I wish I could do that at the big stores here. I bet I have a better chance going to that small store where they will most likely only get one copy, than going 90 minutes early to End of and Ear or Waterloo where they get a dozen. I miss the first couple of years when I showed up at Waterloo 20 minutes after they opened and just walked in, grabbed the stuff I wanted easy with no wait. Sorry for the slight "back in my day" speech.
  18. Dammit. There had to be a Braid 7". So far I was skipping this. Oh well, maybe I'll get lucky at the small store in town. Last time I tried there I was about 50th in line and still able to grab the smaller band stuff. I don't even try the big stores anymore, I'm pretty sure some people camp out overnight like black friday sales.
  19. I'm pretty much with you, but with only a few exceptions. Besides maybe a few dollar bin sort of soundtracks I got from the 70-80s movies, I've only bought a couple of soundtracks that weren't original music. I bought Dazed and Confused because after 20 years of watching that movie it's in my DNA, and yes I'm one of the people who bought Guardians. But I might not have if it wasn't only $20 and didn't have the score with it. Plus O-o-h Child had been on my buy list for a while. I really wanted the Clerks soundtrack just for the Seaweed and Bad Religion songs, but no way for $30+.
  20. Well I'm hearing there's a chance Singleton will start in AAA, which isn't a bad thing. He did struggle quite a bit. So now with Rasmus in the OF, Carter can play 1B and Gattis can DH. I'm cringing at the thought of strikeouts I'm going to see this year, but hopefully the home runs offset that a little. Now just complete this Vogelsong deal and call it an offseason. No sexy signings/trades, but I feel like they were good ones. The only guy they lost that I'll really miss is Fowler, not only was he a good player but a great guy. Became a good friend to Springer, loved seeing those two celebrate together after a win. But hey, less than a month until pitchers and catchers report!
  21. Sure if a good enough deal came around. But I just think it would have to be pretty big since they've been high on him playing 1st for a while since they traded for him.
  22. I really need to post a picture of this record since it makes sense for this board. I have this 45 from when I was a kid that my dad bought. It's totally cheesy and called "Go Go Astros". And the b-side is "Vamos Vamos Astros", the same song in Spanish. I'm pretty sure that was the first Spanish word I learned because of the record. It's definitely one favorite Astros items. Glad I held onto it all these years.
  23. Totally agree. I've seen Springer make incredible plays at both positions. I was just going on what I've been hearing from the Houston organization lately.
