  1. i love target as well and go there for all of my non-food stuff. it always seem to be about the same price to me. and i knew someone that once returned a similar looking, but older model of a stereo in the box of a new one they just bought so that they could have a 2nd of the newer model for their friend. also saw someone once return a candle that halfway melted because they left it in their car the day they bought it. they really didn't care about returns because they don't want to piss someone off that wouldn't go back.
  2. i don't avoid it for those reasons, i just get frustrated almost every time i go in there. i stopped going because either there are only 4 lanes open on a saturday afternoon or something else weird or annoying. plus someone always seems to taking their bad day out on me when i'm there. i just happen to have this awesome chain of grocery stores in austin i go to. never have to wait in a line more than 2 minutes. but that's probably because they still hire baggers. and they are always really nice with everything.
  3. i think it's more about the interpersonal relationships of the creators of the site rather than the site itself. someone correct me if i'm wrong. it kinda reminds me of that tv movie pirates of silicon valley from like a decade ago about bill gates and steve jobs in their early days competing with each other.
  4. i was actually lucky enough to get one of those 10 years ago on ebay for $20. i didn't buy a copy of the new ones and don't know the pressing info, but could always take a picture if you wanted to see any differances. because i had the original press of the ataris "blue skies" and i think it was the back of the cover that was different from this new one.
  5. question, where did you happen to buy that liverache comp?
  6. agree with both parts. fincher is awesome, and i was shocked at how much i enjoyed timberlake in alpha dog. he can do a little more than dick in a box.
  7. i like that your icon is adebisi with that little hat that somehow never fell off.
  8. it is the law here, if someone sings "the stars at night are big and bright" you must clap and reply with "deep in the heart of texas" i have so many memories of the get up kids always doing that at their shows right before playing "i'm a loner dottie, a rebel"
  9. Very Rare!! Only 3300 made! damn i got this on ebay 10 years ago for only $25, and i know the value of their records have gone way down. a few years ago i sold all my 7"s of them and didn't get much at all. and i just checked and someone else is selling that picture disc for a buy it now at $33.
  10. i think the uk track listing is better anyway. but that's because "janie jones" is one of my favorite opening songs ever.
  11. thanks, since i had still yet to add an icon i'll use this one for now. and we were just watching all of season 2 this weekend. "i'm disabled...leg disabled."
  12. hell yes. so much easier than having to get lucky weeks later with someone selling theirs on here after they ran out on record store day. thank you no idea records for being one of the best, you never disappoint. and i love that better sense is one of the songs. forever and counting was the first of their albums i ever heard when it came out, and it's still my favorite.
  13. i've always wondered about that short music comp... is there actually a starting gap for every song, or are they grouped? because with there being 50 songs on each side i've assumed you just take a guess if you had a certain song you wanted to listen to.
  14. a while back when this show got confirmed i thought i saw frank darabont say it won't follow the books' story lines so everyone wouldn't know what's happening next. i actually don't know if that's still going to be the case. and as refreshing as an idea as it is, i hope they at least do a few major points of the books. i want to mention a huge place in it that took place for a lot of issues that was the best plot of the entire series, but don't want to give anything away for anyone who hasn't read it yet.
  15. once the u.s. is knocked out i'll start pulling for the arsenal players still in it.
  16. nice. thanks for this info. always look forward to hear new stuff from mike kinsella. was also nice to see they are going to press the new matt pond pa on vinyl. i was shocked when it wasn't released when the cd came out a few months ago. polyvinyl has been great about pressing their records even though they've been on another label for a few releases now.
  17. i usually don't consider compliation ones actual albums but here's mine. in fact i have a lot of my favorite lp covers framed, but didn't include s/t even though it's one of my favorite things to listen to. 1. S/T 2. Maybe I'll Catch Fire 3. Goddamnit 4. Remains 5. Good Mourning 6. From Here To Infirmary 7. Crimson 8. Agony and Irony 9. This Addiction and like a few people have said already, i really haven't listen to the last few albums that much. hell i think so far i've listened to this addiction twice.
  18. got mine, sounded great. thanks for letting me replace mine. i'm an idiot who bought it 10 years ago at warped tour, and actually got it signed by kris since he was behind the booth at that time, then accidetnly left if in the back seat for a day with the rest of my stuff. texas + summer heat + record = lose. funny how that happens with the record i never think of replacing until it goes out of print and was never on ebay for cheap.
  19. i wish i could find another place in austin that sold the poly bags individually. i buy my 12" ones by the bag, waterloo has every size by the bag or individual. but they started selling the smaller 10" ones. you wouldn't think 3/8" would make a difference, but i can't fit my 10" records in the 10 1/4" ones. and i only need a few because i've probably only bought 8 10"s in the last few years.
  20. i got the 2 lemuria lp's i've been holding off on for a while. under $17 with shipping. that's $7 less than it would have been to get them straight from asian man records. thanks man.
  21. i was at work so i only got to watch the scorecast, did they play as uninspired as the espn guy wrote for updates? i would love to see some of those younger keepers i see on the team page. i've been saying it for the past few years that it's the main thing keeping them behind united and chelsea. and i've got a feeling they will pull out a draw this weekend. tottenham wouldn't surprise me by winning both of theirs. i think they're safe, i don't see them winning both by 6, especially with one of them being against man city.
  22. god where were you last year when i sold off my whole collection of 900+ cds. i had a good amount of those bands, and i know some of the stores i sold to didn't give me but a dollar or two for some of them.
  23. 10 years ago, i would have maybe said color. i blame less than jake for getting me addicted by pressing everything in at least 5 colors. since then i've sold all my extra copies so i guess i'll go with press. although i did jump on the white cap'n jazz copy wednesday, but it's not like it cost any extra money.
  24. well i know they've already been released on cd or 7"s. i just think they could put them all together like the braid movie music records. and i guess on top of the new york 7", hell and high water b-side, and post marked stamp song, i thought throwing in the few from the atlantic ep (soul singer is one of my favorites), and the 2 songs from the ears ring ep. plus one of their first songs was on the direction comp. so if you got to use all of those it could be 9 songs, hell could even include the 6 from the s/t ep since it's never been on vinyl.
