  1. weston/strychnine and the rat traps on green vinyl baby and it has one of my favorite weston songs...dinosaur! i see my dinosaur!
  2. yea unfortunately its been a fucked up part of my life too. it's the worse when its there and you just don't know why. 2007 was def the least of it i had since i was about 13. it was a nice welcomed change. i got a weird feeling its gonna make return real soon since i'm majorly stressing and having some bad anxiety today. my application to grad school is due by Feb 1. i sent it priority (2-3 days) on the 28th. so at the latest, should be there today. i also said why not just pay for delivery confirmation - it'll be nice to know that it made it ok....turns out according to USPS.com my package doesn't even exist. i was told by the mailman that it prob was missed scanning on the way out but surely would when it was delivered. of course still not on tonight...mentally i'm freaking out. "just don't say you lost it"
  3. i still want a tour copy if anyone can swing me one!!!
  4. Haha, I do the same... minus the fish sandwich. i never tried that... but i know i don't like it
  5. i bought the fueled by ramen/decaydance 7 inch package...at hot topic to redeem myself... it was 50% off... i honestly think that paramore is an alright band and thats why i bought it...shit theres another confession
  6. I think Var def knocked down prices, but I'm sure now theres lots of record collectors that now are gonna be after 2 diff "versions"

  8. I have been collecting cards my since I was about three. Unfortunately all that stuff from the late 80s and 90s was so overproduced that it usually has no value. Because of that, I pretty much only collect autographs and vintage stuff from the 50s and 60s. sal if you hit me up with a pm about what kind of stuff you have i might be able to help you get rid of it.
  9. yea i don't think it's real either. i think doing that is really in poor taste. doing that out of jealousy that someone got a chance at one just sounds plain wrong.
  10. just about to leave my place if you see a guy in a black hat and young livers shirt say hello
  11. i don't know about you guys but i think lozee rose is hands down the best draft song.
  12. hell yea! the day is upon us. i'm leaving work early so i can drive 4 hours from PA i can't wait!!!
  13. as far as I'm concerned thrice is sadly dead to me as well. other then a few random songs, the artist in the ambulance was their last solid album that had appeal to me. i saw them once about three years back at warped tour for the first time after being a fan for years. their older stuff was just amazing and they were just testing out image of the invisible which wasn't all too bad. starting out as a big hopeless records fan, i caught onto them and avenged sevenfold around the same time 7 or so years ago and it bums me out big time that they both changed so much that i am no longer even interested.
  14. i hear that. that's what kinda got me away from shows. to bring in any half decent even regional band was costing some ridiculous guarantees. if a small head ling band wants $100 and their tour partner wants $75...then you pay $150 for renting a facility...and another $50+ on a PA...it adds up quick. how can you put on a show with 75 or less kids that turn out and pay out that kind of money without charging them such large amount that it's not even worth putting on the show. i understand bands need money to make it happen. my theory always was i'll guarantee gas from my own pocket if i have to otherwise i can't promise much more. if the show does well i'll be more than happy to throw some bread in your jar!
  15. i definitely agree. i don't want to fight or defend my positions, but i think i can speak for a lot of people when i say - if any vinyl collectors, like myself, end up making money on something like this. more than likely, it's going to go full circle as that money will prob help fund d.i.y labels, other vinyl producers, and the bands we will go see.
  16. the way i see it is...if i can get multiples i have one person i promised first show. from there, after keeping one myself, the rest are going for sale. if the punk rock world expects me to be able to leave work early, drive a total of 8 hours, blow lots of money on tickets and gas, then it should be ok with me trying to make some money off the experience to help fund it. cause lets face it, i got bills to pay and owe lots of money for school so everything i make goes towards that. i can't afford to do big trips all the time. something like this is a rare chance to lessen the economic trouble for some of us.
  17. i'll shoot him a line and i'll also pm all of you with some ideas i came up with.
  18. ok so this might be a long shot but i figured it was worth a try. as of right now i'm finishing up writing some papers for my application to grad school. i feel my skill of the written word isn't so swift...i'm an accountant so what could be expected of me. at any rate, i desperately need to find someone who knows their stuff when it comes to this subject. i'm thinking about paying one of those dumb sites to have some ivy league grad review it, but i'd rather not since my financial state isn't the best at the moment. so if any of you are that person i'm looking for or know that person that could seriously help or offer some recommendations please let me know! i would do by best to compensate that person or at least return the favor somehow. thanks a lot ladies and gents!
  19. i don't know if virgil would be interested since i'm sure he's prob got better things to do. but i am looking to revive my diy label and vinyl would be a lovely place to start.
  20. there better be some in jersey!
  21. how about vinyl collective puts out a 12" comp of people from on here with bands who couldn't normally afford to put out vinyl ourselves. make it a true collective effort...each band maybe contribute something like $200 and get a fair share of copies. slap vinyl collective on the front and promote the site/msg board/community and our own music at the same time. i dunno just an idea... heck if there would be people interested in this i would put it together and do the work myself if i had to.
  22. was that one of the 60 "found" a few weeks ago? I still have yet to receive mine if thats what you mean.
  23. those comics went the way of 80s and 90s baseball cards...
