Color me excited for a “b-sides and unreleased LP” because Conversations with the Wind and Made in Moonlight are the two jammiest jams to have ever jammed. I’m still pissed that they didn’t get played last time I saw you at Chain Reaction. 

No idea you were from West Chester, I went to Immaculata University, but spent most of my time in West Chester.  I still stand by Benny's is the best pizza ever.  Also West Chester is where I met Tokyo Rose and became their merch guy for a tour.  The church there had the best shows, that was a great place to see bands.

I love that you liked this album. I do too, but there's a lot we would have done differently in hindsight. Not sure about a press of this one, but we are planning on doing a b-sides/unreleased material LP. No solid plans yet but I know it's something we want to do with our friend's small label!

I just listened to The End of an Error this afternoon. Really good stuff. Haven't listened to it in probably 8-10 years and still remembered most of the lyrics. While I couldn't think of the songs just by the titles, I remembered that Behind the Gun was the best song of the album

Freaking wild, and I am from Bethlehem, PA Crocodile Rock was my go to place and I was totally at that show also.  I discovered Mae there also, bought the 4 song ep they self released and met their original guitarist outside.  Hopefully more Mae stuff comes down the pipeline like a new album, love everything they put out.  Bummed I missed the last few shows in PA, I think the one was in Harrisburg.  Wish I was photographing the Houston Calls show, but living in AR doesn't help.

And I would guess not, as that record doesn't seem to be in demand, but if enough people were interested - I might be able to squeeze 500 out of Drive-Thru, ya never know!

So excited for this one.  I tried to press this back when we did Day at the fair and socratic but the band wanted to do it themselves if they ever did a reunion.  So I would imagine they are playing so shows as well.

I fucking love that Houston Calls EP. Glad to see they're pressing more than just those EPs.

The original shipping date was January and they’ve updated that to March in the descriptions.
 
They’ve reposted a bunch of people posting photos of their new shirts on IG.  (Logo is way too big.. I was sorta interested in one, but not anymore)
 
I would imagine the bands still have a sour taste so I doubt that is why they aren’t hyping the releases up.  However, I’m stoked for the box and def ordering the Houston Calls LP this week.
 
Take This To Your Heart Records are handling everything and they seem like they know what they’re doing so I’m not worried.

Glad I got the splatter right away.  Would totally be at the Asbury Park show, but had to move to Arkansas due to work, will be looking for fan shot videos the next day to see what I missed.  Maybe do a live stream???  Last time I saw Houston Calls it was in Allentown, PA and I think it was Farewell and Punchline?  I can't remember the whole bill, but when I google dates apparently a show like that was downstairs, but I swear it was upstairs.
I would also love a pressing of End Of An Error, I love Short Stories, but Era was my favorite.  I remember when that came out Drive Thru was going under at that point and it was so hard for me to get a copy.  My local record store couldn't get it in.  Curious what these Drive Thru vinyl releases will be and if something like that album will get the treatment.  It's like Hidden In Plain View Resolution, love that album and feel like it didn't get the love it deserves since they broke up after it was released.

I hope they press their second LP!  For some reason I dismissed it when it came out.. years later now I love it more than their first album.  It’s a solid record.

I have vivid memories of listening to this in my high school cafeteria every morning before school. While not an amazing memory, it does bring back feelings of being young. I appreciate those little things. Thanks for making the music.

Man, I had the order button for the Spotify, but decided to navigate away to see if there was a Cherry Tree version. It wasn't posted yet, and by the time I went back to Spotify, it was gone. Not really interested in the white or the CT package, so I'll just grab the indie red whenever.

Boxes are the worst part of box sets, especially oversized ones with a big lid/flap. They certainly look cool and it's neat how to see a specific artist/album encapsulated in a nice package, but they're annoying to retrieve records from especially if you're listening to the whole thing. And be honest, you're not listening to the whole MxPx box set at once, unless you have  really want your day to gradually get more mediocre over the course of 8 hours.

So just because it comes in a box that contains 1/2 records that have been out of print for 20 years, the only part you want, from band you haven’t cared about in as long, you’re supposed to keep everything together because of prosperity to... what... the concept of the “box set” or the band? Because you have this asinine idea that a things should be right and good the way they come? 
 
If it was a band I actually cared about and liked even 2/3 of their, intensive, catalog, that’s another story. But this is better than spending more money and having a clunky box filled with 5 records that I’m not even going to touch, outside of deshrinking to check out the colors. I think everybody would be happy if the band would just repress life in general and slowly going. Nobody would be splitting up their precious box sets then.  

Price shaming. collection shaming, hobby shaming... Never understood why so many people get so bent out of shape about what other people do with their purchases. Is it a vinyl collector thing, a millennial thing, a first world privilege thing, or a combination of all 3? 😆

I think it could be a Full Collapse repress and hopefully remaster, given the color scheme. 

People are insane. Who cares if you split up a boxset. I literally bought it for the first 5 LPs and I'm hoping I can sell the other 5 to people who want them individually! Seems like a pretty normal thing to do...
