SeeMoreGlass got a reaction from aopps42 in PO: Jeff Rosenstock - No Dream
Can we talk about how fucking good this album is? I know the color is important (love my glow in the dark) but I fucking love every second of this record.

SeeMoreGlass got a reaction from texan4life in Post a PIC Of Your Collection (Band or Label ONLY)
Here is an update on my The Wonder Years collection. I've been collecting their stuff since I first heard the band in 2010 and The Upsides helped me make some serious life decisions. I justify this because I love supporting the band that helped me change my life for the better. Some of these have been pretty tricky to find and I still have a few more to go but I got some free time and figured I would do it anyway. I don't collect Test Presses only because they are way too expensive and I could never get my hands on one let alone all of them. Also, for the record releases, I count it as one variant so I don't have multiples for The Greatest Generation or The Upsides. I have gotten a TON of help from people on VC, Dead Format and Discogs so huge thanks to the vinyl community. Hope you guys dig it.
The Upsides
Suburbia: I've Given You All And Now I'm Nothing
The Greatest Generation
No Closer To Heaven
Sister Cities
Glamour Kills Comp/Sleeping On Trash/Burst And Decay/Others
7"s
CD's and Extras
As far as I know, I am only missing these from The Wonder Years
The Wonder Years - Sister Cities - Shinjuku Street Splatter
And these from Aaron West And The Roaring Twenties
Aaron West And The Roaring Twenties - We Don't Have Each Other - Blue/White Swirl
Aaron West And The Roaring Twenties - Routine Maintenance - Blue/White Swirl Tour Variant (Sold out the day before my tour date : (
Hit me up if you think I am missing anything or if you have any of these you want to sell...

SeeMoreGlass got a reaction from AlexH. in Andrew Yang 2020
Is anyone else intrigued or have thoughts on this guy?
So far he is the only one that will be running that I feel has detailed plans and a pretty amazing idea to put America on a better track...
https://www.yang2020.com/policies/
I mean, universal basic income (or the "freedom dividend") wasn't really something I thought would be a good idea but man the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. "Human Centered Capitalism" is quite an interesting concept too...
Thoughts? Ideas?

SeeMoreGlass got a reaction from Mayflower2020 in Tips for Selling my Great-Grandmothers Vintage Record Collection
I've had some pretty limited experience with the 78s which are fun to research but the majority of them aren't worth much. From what I understand, there are a few different labels that are very rare and are worth a ton, like the Paramount blues records. They are rare because there wasn't many of them pressed, but most of the white people dance music isn't rare because it was pressed for the masses. Your best bet is to look up individual titles, probably the ones from the labels you don't recognize will be worth more. Just know that typically the people who collect those kinds of records are looking for condition and rarity and often times are pretty intense about them.
My advice, if you want to unload them is to get in touch with that dude and his wife and have them make you an offer. It sounds like they are interested and will give them all a listen which is ultimately the point of collecting...to enjoy the music.
My best advice, is just because it is old, doesn't mean it is worth anything and that these records are only worth what other people are willing to pay. From what you have described it doesn't sound like there is anything really rare or hard to find but it is really hard to know without actually looking at them. You could also look them up on discogs.com. You aren't going to find a ton of the 78s on there probably but the LPs you should be able to look up.
Best of luck!

SeeMoreGlass got a reaction from Rip in PO SOON: Aaron West and The Roaring Twenties - Routine Maintenance
Yep, this is true. They were sold out in Columbus.
Was really disappointed to miss out on the tour copy of this but whatever. I guess I'll throw my hat in the ring too so if you have a tour copy of this record you are looking to sell and you haven't hit up the dudes before me in this thread, hit me up. I've been collecting TWY variants since 2010 so I'd love to be able to keep it going.

SeeMoreGlass got a reaction from vinny0190 in PO: Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy Up the Girl & Boy Named Goo (10/15)
I wonder if they are going to do separate represses for these albums like they did with the one last year. I have Dizzy and really the only other record I really want from them is Gutterflower...

SeeMoreGlass got a reaction from Rip in PO: La Dispute - Panorama
Amen dude, I'm looking forward to this one...I don't think any of their albums will ever top Wildlife for me though. I have to be in the right mood to listen to that record though because it fucking destroys me.
I really really need to revisit rooms of the house

SeeMoreGlass got a reaction from Rip in PO: American Pleasure Club - fucking bliss
I love how much Sam Ray does not give a fuck about what anyone thinks...
Releasing a noise album after putting out a pop/emo record people really responded to last year is a pretty ballsy move...
Probably going to buy this at some point...even if I don't listen to it a ton...
