  1. No tracking number, just my order confirmation email. I live in New England for what it's worth and it was shipped from California.
  2. Just got my copy in. They mailed it in an envelope and my heart sank. Inside that envelope was a mailer, so crisis averted. Seemed unnecessary but whatever
  3. ALL ELSE FAILED - “Archetype” Been waiting for this for a while. I’m still mad at myself for selling my copy years ago https://translationloss.com/collections/all-else-failed/products/archetype-reissue
  4. To tack on, I think the vocals on Ritchie Sacramento are some of my favorites of Mogwai's.
  5. I just do a wet clean with a spray and a microfiber towelette
  6. I’m probably wrong haha, I’m just speculating since they also helped release As The Love Continues. Even if I have to deal with European shipping costs it’ll still be cheaper than the secondhand market at this point.
  7. I almost bought Young Team on the secondhand market (for the average going price) and I'm so happy I held off. Someone on the Mogwai subreddit was saying that the band was wanting to do this for a while. I honestly don't expect a boxset, I have a hunch Temporary Residence will be involved with US distribution (they were one of the firsts to like the IG post, take that for what it's worth) I will say, that CODY boxset is phenomenal and worth every penny even just for the song Hugh Dallas. Easily a top 5 song for me.
  8. WOAH! That's much cheaper than I imagined. I figured they knew how high the demand would be and that they'd be shilling them for $40+
  9. Foreign Hands - 'Lucid Noise' EP just dropped. If it wasn't $17 after shipping I'd scoop it. https://sharptonerecords.co/collections/shop-all
  10. I would be forever indebted if someone could snag a copy (any variant) of Translating the Name.
  11. Did Numero include downloads for the Time Expired boxset? They usually send out emails with your order and I can't seem to find it. Also bummed that Current boxset didn't include a code

  13. That’s very true. I was starting to see those patterns with myself pertaining to just collecting to have which is icky, and I needed to reassess. Granted, my stacks of “needs to be spun before filed” records has gotten so much larger over this year, I find it super fun and reflective to give each record its proper time. Overall, it just makes me more appreciative of the records I do keep that resonate with me.
  14. Thanks for checking in! It's much appreciated. He was a 15 year old Cairn terrier. Everyone, including the vet didn't believe he was that old, he showed zero signs of slowing down or anything. Out of nowhere he started coughing/throwing up food and water, so we took him to the ER where they put him on anesthesia and did some x-rays. They determined he had a hiatal hernia as well as an enlarged prostate (the Mrs. never had him neutered as a puppy) They put him on some meds, some of which were appetite suppressants. After about 10 days with zero signs of improvements, we took him back to make sure it wasn't a tumor or something, and they anesthetized him again, and said it was just the hernia and that we could book time asap for the surgery. After a third dose of anesthesia and (a "successful") surgery, while recovering at the ER, they said he must've had a stroke or something. We visited him and we all kind of just KNEW that it wasn't going to get better. He looked like a shell of his former self. He couldn't stand, sit upright, only half of his body was moving, his lips were enlarged from biting them. It was awful and I felt so helpless. I was his person, so holding his hand and looking into his eyes as they put him to sleep was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. It wrecked me (still does). [Subject change] Basically, starting January 1st of this year I made the decision to listen to one record per day, and write a few paragraphs about each record, to help me get through the hoards of vinyl I've been buying. For days after having to say goodbye, I was mostly listening to cathartic music like Carissa's Wierd, Type O Negative, Mount Eerie (A Crow Looked At Me), The Promise Ring's "Nothing Feels Good", On The Might Of Princes "Where You Are...", This Will Destroy You's "Another Language", etc. I actually just bought that Codeine boxset a few months ago. I've only spun Frigid Stars and keep dabbling with the idea of waiting for my copy of "Dessau" to arrive in the mail so I can play it all chronologically. I've definitely been smoking a fair amount of the devil's lettuce and listening to Dessau (that version of Sea KILLS ME), the new Holy Fawn, Engine Down, Boilermaker (In Wallace's Shadow) and other random stuff. Lately it's been a heavy dose of doom, mostly Mizmor haha. If you're interested in following what I'm writing about, my IG handle is @mikevanburen
  15. Yeah, there’s a lot to take in here. Def sounds more like Malady than the s/t CoC LP but you’re in for a treat assuming that’s yours thing
  16. Haven't spun my copy yet, just got it in today. I smoked a bowl and jammed it last night and it's incredible. The first and last song are definitely my favorites but the whole album is sick. There's a lot of Godspeed You! Black Emperor post-rock moments that I'm 100% eating up.
  17. Bought my ticket. I'll be there. Legitimately the most stacked lineup I've seen (pertaining to my own tastes) I think the only two bands I haven't heard are UI and Tsunami. Even Rex I'm stoked for since I'm missing them when they play my area in October. AND WE'RE SEEING THE HATED AND IDA?! WHAT YEAR IS THIS?
  18. Bought this a few months ago. It's so fucking good! It sounds just like it was being played on an old tape, but it fits the aesthetic so well. Highly recommend to all Karate fans even if it sounds nothing alike
  19. https://numerogroup.com/products/best-piece-of-shit-vol-4 ”This one’s been teased for awhile, decades even. The Hated box set was an idea before Numero was an idea. Today we’re pleased to announce the first of five planned Hated collections that we’ll be rolling out over the next several years. Up first is Best Piece Of Shit Vol. 4, which compiles the Annapolis quartet’s earliest explorations into revolution summer emo. Spread across two LPs is the band’s 1985 debut cassette, the No More We Cry EP, and 14 period bonus tracks from these hardcore hooligans. We’ve also made a limited 7”+CD+tape edition with an additional five bonus tracks. Andrew Gephardt and Ken Shipley provide lengthy essays on the band and scene, illustrated by dozens of photographs from the band’s archive. We’ve got 500 copies broken bone white wax los both, but not for long. The Hated on Numero… Never said it’s be like this, right?” expected to ship late November
  20. Anyone else's copy arrived super dinged and with seam splits? What's the best way to reach out for a replacement jacket? (If possible)
