  1. Very thankful that I have this record. You can buy it from my widow when I die. It is very strange that they didn't repress this when they rereleased the CD. It seems like something that should definitely happen in the future.
  2. Thanks for everyone's input. I think if it was $20 I would buy it, but it seems to go for around $49 and up, so no. Does anyone have an original pressing and can confirm it is a good quality pressing?
  3. Hopefully there will be a good repress. It's fucking ridiculous that there isn't one already.
  4. Anyone buy one of the colored bootlegs? I'm wondering what the sound quality is like. I know that once I buy one I will find out someone like MOV is doing a proper pressing. EDIT: It is like I was psychic. Glad I waited!
  5. Mine is perfect. I do wish they used that clear vinyl packing material that some of you received. Can't wait to get the deluxe.
  6. I don't know the pressing number on this, but I can't imagine it to be huge. This seems to be self-released. I've seen them live once and it was a great show. "Fortress are ancient battle sorcerers, who, for one thousand sun cycles, have cheated death and dealt blistering heavy metal thunder upon the known and unknown worlds. They are also nerds." You can listen and order vinyl here: http://friendsoffortress.com/
  7. If you don't have this yet, stop being an idiot. No, really...
  8. I can't recommend the Carbon enough for the "entry" level higher quality turntable. I bought the piano black and then added an Acryl It platter later. I noticed a sound difference right away and did sound comparisons side by side with my Numark Pro TT2. It also comes with a presinstalled 2m Red cartridge. I would say to anyone looking to buy a cheaper table to save a few more bucks and go with the Carbon. Told my buddy to buy one because he is just getting back into records and he is stoked. I'm not an audiophile, I just know this is a damn nice table.
  9. I don't know if Athletics have already been mentioned in this thread, but since I was listening to them and just remembering how damn awesome they are: http://athleticsmusic.bandcamp.com/releases Post rock with vocals? An angstier sounding mix of Sigur Ros and If These Trees Could Talk and maybe Gates? You be the judge. I believe the limited vinyl for this release is still available.
  10. Love my Eventide Space. I don't think I use it to its full potential, but in time. http://www.eventide.com/AudioDivision/Products/StompBoxes/Eventide_Space.aspx I've never played with a loop pedal and feel like I need to give one a try.
  11. Funny, I think that has happened twice in the last month for the same price. I wonder if it sold or if there was some other funny business going on. All I know is that guy trying to sell one for $180 is high in many different ways. Patience will have to be my best friend.
  12. I'll trade you two nickels for one quarter. You know two is more than one.
  13. The higher and higher prices go for records and the way some variants are handled are both reasons for me that I am cutting back and planning on cutting even further. Too many impulse buys and many unnecessary multiple variants have bloated my collection and I need to cleanse it soon. It's also nice having money in the savings account.
  14. I've always hated the "make offer" bullshit because I've made such offers and had people not respond. Not ridiculous lowball offers either. Asking someone to make an offer if they initiate contact with you or because they posted a wanted list is reasonable. I understand that some people don't want to post their possibly high prices in the actual thread, but if you are putting up a for sale post you should be able to give the buyer some sort of ballpark price if they pm you. I've also found that many "make offer" and "don't ask how much or I will ignore you" sales threads are looking for ebay prices without the fees. The solution is to just pass.
  15. As much as I hate picture discs, I am going to probably have to get that Ike and Tina one. If the dvd is actually never before released footage it should be pretty damn cool. I found a live performance of them in Europe on Netlfix and they completely killed it. I've seen Hated and other GG stuff. Interesting like watching a terrible car accident, but not something most people need to own.
  16. Just bringing this back again in case people don't want to dig for it.
  17. That's a bummer for Chelsea. Just looking at the Pendu site, they seem a little like a bunch of pretentious scensters.
