  1. I don't know but a dark blue would've been a great idea. Hopefully this will sell well enough to justify a 2nd press so you can suggest they do a dark blue variant.
  2. Saw them Friday night in Ferndale and they ruled as usual. I got video of the whole set and will post a link once I get them up in case anyone gives a shit. They're selling the vinyl for $15 apiece, so I think when they said $20 on Facebook, that is ppd within the US. Just my assumption. As a package it is absolutely gorgeous, and the splatter is stupendous. I went to the merch table planning to buy two blacks (the second being for a buddy from Seattle who's visiting next week and didn't want to risk the cross-country mail jaunt if he didn't have to) but instead got mesmerized by the splatter upon seeing it in person. I still got my buddy his black copy but sent him a picture of my splatter when I got home. He then decided that another of our friends who went to the Muskegon show last night should pick him up a splatter as well. Mine looks just like the pictures that the band and PSR have posted but if anyone really wants to see it I'll make the effort to upload it somewhere. I'm SO glad to see so many familiar names here into these guys. They deserve all the attention they're getting and plenty more. It sucks that they don't have a bassist anymore (to my knowledge it's now a laptop fulfilling that told), but maaaaan are they tight and precise live. My first exposure to them was seeing them with Gates, and I've still never been floored by an instrumental band like that any other time in my life (and I've seen EITS). I can't recommend making the effort to see them enough.
  3. Nice. I had 4 copies of this at one point (red, white, blue, & yellow) but had to sell all but one last summer. Given that it has my favorite Transit song ("Riding The Bullet"), I should probably have a backup copy. That song was originally supposed to be re-recorded for KTTY like "Please Head North" but that got nixed in the recording process. It's a shame because the bedroom audio on this thing doesn't do "Riding" justice. They only played it live on one tour, and I feel very lucky to have gotten the chance to see it.
  4. That's awesome news, and thanks for confirming that I wasn't crazy but apparently am blind. I really hope it's not just some 5 date east coast thing where they fly into NY and work their way down the week before because I'd really love to see them hit MI. I finally had a chance to listen to the record last night. It sounded great, and I didn't notice an real significant sound quality loss at the end of side A, although admittedly I was in and out of the room doing other stuff.
  5. Mine arrived yesterday. Got a white and thankfully no seam splits. They threw in an In The Red - Volume 1, which is something I might've grabbed with the sale had I waited a day to order, so that worked out nicely. Haven't had a chance to listen to any of it yet.
  6. My Sport has not arrived yet. Like you I placed my order the day before this was announced. :-( I also picked up a second copy of Guiltmaker - Dilemmas because it's one of my favorite albums ever and maybe the most slept on great album ever.
  7. Every Last Time is the only one I really like most of (including this one) but i wasn't previously aware of this Cupcakes thing. ELT is backed pretty hard though.
  8. Oh ok, your question makes more sense now. I thought I read some talk somewhere that the band were possibly going to tour the states (and thereby maybe would bring some colored copies with?) but I quickly reread this thread and didnt see that so I may have dreamt it up. So I think whatever KoD has is all you're going to get for intra-US shipping rates...whenever they feel like getting around to selling them that is. Edit: And now I feel like a dunce considering your post informed me that they were up in the store and I failed to realize it. Anyway, I'm now in the ordering process and couldn't be more stoked. Since their store has no search function, here's the link. http://kissofdeath.limitedrun.com/products/528440-sport-bon-voyage-lp And for their previous full-length. http://kissofdeath.limitedrun.com/products/528439-sport-colors-lp
  9. Look up and back one page. You're like a child that walks into the middle of a movie, Donnie. Still nothing in the store, though I got facebook message confirmation that the records have safely made it to the US.
  10. Oh fuck. I was putting off listening until I get done studying but that is my favorite song of theirs so I think it's time for a music break. Although maybe I shouldn't because I can't justify more vinyl buying until the credit card cycle rolls over.
  11. Sounds like a thoughtful way to approach a problem that's not completely solvable. I think you made the right call to reach some middle ground, Kyle.
  12. Sweet. I was knowingly being an overly negative dildo about the schedule, but sure enough, Gates and Title Fight are overlapping. Poop. Nobody else I'll be going with likes TF, so Gates it will be.
  13. Dude, I need to shake your hand at this for fucking with Joey 6131. Also, thanks for the heads up on the schedule. Can't wait to see that the 3 bands out of 100 that I want to see are playing at the same time.
  14. Wow, that will be the last time I hear that song if I can help it, even if I buy the album. Oof. Video game beats should start & end at "Super Brooklyn".
  15. After how disappointing Highlighter was (sold mine), I'm afraid to listen. Doubtful that I'll pick it up on vinyl anyway, but given their strong back catalog I do recommend others check them out.
  16. I had the same thought listening to it. Actually it strikes me as half HBP and half Collapser with just enough new twists to keep it interesting. I've only listened once but it was fucking awesome. It's so nice to have one band I love who's totally dependable and doesn't think they have to gravitate further toward (mom &) pop rock with every release. Wish I hadn't been sleeping on the preorder.
  17. Yeah, somehow I knew that but wasn't thinking about it when I wrote that. However, if I can help anyone out who subscribed by taking an unwanted record off their hands, I'd rather do that. It's a good album but it's not like I have to have it right now. Either way, thanks for the reminder/info.
  18. No apology (or throwaway LP) could cover all the negligence and incompetence this lying scumbag Joey has perpetrated against his paying customers. I actually want that Ivy League TX LP but refuse to buy it because he doesn't deserve another dime from me. I despise Chris "Selective Morality" Hansen from No Sleep as well for being in bed business-wise with Joey and defending him on altpress.com for the Handsome swindle job. If you weren't up on that whole shit-show, here's some happy reading for your weekend. http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/91030-handsome-just-saw-thisnever-before-on-vinyl/ I know it's long, but trust me that it's juicy and well worth the read if you're not already familiar. That is, unless you're the type of person who wants to bend over backwards to help people out but not if it involves reading 5 whole pages of posts. Also, if any of you subscribers end up with a ILTX LP and don't want it, I'd take it for $16 ppd (USA) since I wouldn't be giving the money directly to dickweed.
  19. Thanks! It's confusing but easier than trying to draw their alphabet.
  20. Hi all. I'm reviving this old thread because I just made my first sale to Japan and am concerned about getting the address correct on both the package and the customs form. Here is the address as it was given to me by the buyer on Discogs. He/she doesn't seem to have the greatest command of English, so that's why I'm asking here first. DaiaParesu Oyama 207, 39-1, Oyamakanaityou, Itabashiku, Tokyo 〒173-0024 Japan Can anyone please tell me how I should write that on the package, line by line, and which of those go in the "address", "city", "state/province", and "post code" blanks on the customs form? Thanks so much.
  21. My brother and I were just referencing this topic the other night on the way to see Prawn, hoping that Sport actually makes it to tour the US unlike the band that blew us both away with their second album last year, the venerable Crash Of Rhinos. I'm so happy to own the black/white A/B variant of this incredible work of art. They did indeed go out on top and will certainly be missed.
  22. Love me some Lions. Got myself a glitter copy of MTNZ last year from Enjoyment. I'd like to hear their song first but will most likely pick this up. I'd love to see both Forgettingism and Roosevelt get pressed too. Edit: just listened. Very nice progression for them. Will definitely be picking this up soon.
