  1. Thanks for the heads up on this. I loved 61 Penn and somehow never happened upon these songs. I just assumed these songs never got recorded. I dig the dual 7" idea too.
  2. Thanks so much!!! I've been waiting years to own this and was able to grab a copy. I can't believe they can ship it air mail for under $6. That's awesome. I wish USPS rates were comparable so I wouldn't have to gut my Discogs international customers.
  3. Band rules. I wish Roosevelt and Forgettingism EPs could be put out on vinyl too.
  4. Love these guys. They just did a tour with The Penske File that I sadly missed. I'll be picking this up at future show though. I cant get it to post with my phone but track 3, "Canada House", is my favorite track. It's a ripper.
  5. I'm not familiar with that song. What's the story on it?
  6. I'm glad somebody likes it, but if this is great, then 36 Seasons or, say, Supreme Clientele must be the greatest things ever created. I'm underwhelmed by BBNG's efforts. I guess maybe they tried to emulate the minimal Wu production style but I think they shot low if that's the case.
  7. I really hope this has some bonus stuff on it, like "Puppets" and especially "Aphids". I too am seeing them in G-Rap and hope like hell they have these done by then. I have zero faith in that though. "Coming summer 2014"
  8. Very glad to see a thread for this band. I really dig their last album and hope to pick this up eventually. I ordered from Uncle M before and will probably do so again. I'm so glad Deutschland post doesn't rip off its international customers like USPS does.
  9. I haven't bought a single thing from No Sleep since they refused to own the fact that way too many people got a shitty sounding 1st press copy of this. Well, that and them being in bed with scumbag 6131 on the Handsome sham job. I'm hoping I can eventually get a guaranteed surface noise-free copy of this from someone here for a reasonable price. No care what press. I suspect there may have been a bunch of duds in both the 1st and 2nd press if people are reporting they have decent sounding copies of both.
  10. They said in the comments on the picture on facebook that one song is a cover. Do you guys think "In The Meantime" is a Helmet cover? Or is there a "Pulling Teeth" song that I'm not thinking of that's more likely?
  11. No, it's navy blue just like that dark Vasudeva record. ;-)
  12. I'm hoping it's not limited as it will likely be June before I can justify buying a copy of this stupendous album. Internships and vinyl collecting do not mix.
  13. Yes! That is it. I just listened to my old file, the album version, and the new file I downloaded from the comp, and it matches the old file. The song is about 1:15 shorter than the album version too. Thanks so much, dude. In my hunting I had seen that it was on that comp, but I figured it was safe to assume it was the album version since typically those Warped comps are just recycled stuff from previous or forthcoming releases. Man, do I feel dopey for going years without at least checking that lead. Thanks again.
  14. Thanks for the heads up, Chris. I'll be ordering it shortly. This thread got me thinking though. I have an MP3 of a (much better IMO) demo version of "Indebted" that my brother found on AudioGalaxy (remember its short run after Napster went down?) sometime between the Slick Shoes split and the name change. The copy I have has a couple really bad skips in it, and I would LOVE to find a clean copy of that demo version. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about or have a copy? I've searched far and wide across the interwebs and found nary a mention of there being another version besides the one on the EP. And while we're reminiscing on old shows, my first exposure to these guys was when they opened for Face To Face the day Ignorance Is Bliss came out at St Andrews in Detroit. Awesome show even though the room died every time and IIB song was played. That's a whole other topic for another thread though.
  15. If you're talking about SRC, "out of print" is more a shifty salesman type phrase to get people to panic into buying something. I don't think they know that the term "out of stock" exists.
  16. Couldn't agree more. They could still do it. I'd re-buy it despite not currently having a pot to piss in. I love this album too much not to.
  17. Thanks for the strong advocacy on this, parkinglot. This will be atop my Xmas list. Looking forward to being able to blast "Fight Like Sinatra".
  18. Consider me interested in Cloakroom all of a sudden. Good job mentioning Hum in the thread title, Jeff. I wouldn't have clicked otherwise after not being able to get into their EP.
  19. Bummer. I would've loved to have the sinister-sounding underground level music.
  20. Rectal rebuilding....and don't forget chimpanzee agony
  21. Same here, along with Somos (I was astounded to see you haven't gotten into them given our generally overlapping tastes), Banner Pilot, Sport, and presumably Gates.
  22. It has to be the OG or the generic sleeve repress. The newest (clear purple) press is CD sourced. I'd love to have the art but I'm very happy with how my generic sleeve version sounds. The kick drum in "Incarcerated Scarfaces" almost knocks the shutters off the house. To be fair I've never heard the OG.
  23. I would never choose to listen to it, but I didn't dislike it as much as I thought I would. That's as positive as I can get on it.
