  1. They emailed us a download code a day or two ago.
  2. No luck eh? Free bump because I'm interested in it too.
  3. Anyone know of a U.S. distribution for this upcoming gem of an album I MUST have? Anyone planning on importing it? I don't want to pay double for it just for shipping from KScope, but not sure of any alternative. From Kscope: http://www.burningshed.com/store/kscope/product/272/3173/
  4. Yea, my score of the black definitely not as cool now. Heh.
  5. Mailman just delivered all three from ShopRadioCast in perfect condition.
  6. Grew up on cassettes as a kid - Dad had some vinyl, but we were always busy/on-the-go so radio/cassettes were the ticket. Had a tiny vinyl collection of my own that the parents did something with whenever we moved one of the half-dozen times. When I got my first CD player in 89, CDs became all I wanted. I bought them until last year, when I decided that digital was on-par enough with CD quality that I'd go that route for the convenience factor (still on-the-go a lot) and buy vinyl if I was in love with something so much I needed a physical copy of it (cooler medium, bigger artwork, etc.). So, less than a year into vinyl seriously. 40 albums, including some cool deluxe editions and sets of albums I really enjoy. Loving it.
  7. Set's still available...kinda shocked. Not going to shell out $125 I don't have, but someone might be interested.
  8. I discovered them with Plains...THEN I heard Dhow, and I'd REALLY like to have that one on vinyl. Awesome.
  9. Emailed them and got an update (which they also posted to their site):
  10. After Damnation. Deliverance was before Damnation. I listen to the new album on that NRP link someone posted, did nothing for me. Are they still on Roadrunner Records? My bad - I meant Ghost Reveries, which blew me away. I switch those two a lot for some reason. They are still on Roadrunner.
  11. I get not digging Watershed because many didn't, but you didn't like Deliverance? ???

  15. Must be the only person around here who considers these movies as some of my favorites of all time who would LOVE to have a pair of these (and dreamed of it as a kid).
  16. eBates suggests HTA20SEPT for 20% off $60 or more until 10/10/11. I have not confirmed.
  17. You need to watch that DVD first : http://www.ineedthatrecord.com It's about the survival/death of record stores. A very good watch. Hey, thanks a lot for the recommendation. I'll definitely check this out!
  18. You guys could have started this thread BEFORE I ordered the BTBAM "3 color" Colors set from this place...
  19. Given rumors of a resurgence of vinyl, independent record stores, and a possible increase in the mainstream's appreciation for the idea of slowing down and "escaping" into music (physical copies, album artwork, related collecting, etc.) as we once did in the golden age of music retail, I've been recently considering opening an independent store of my own. No major ambitions, just enough to maintain the current lifestyle for the family afforded by a corporate job. After hearing about the dire predicament of Criminal Records last week, I can't make up my mind on whether or not this is all a big pipe dream. Anyone close to the situation with more info on the nature of the hot water? Creative Loafing is reporting this is trouble from debt he built up for over 20 years, which would likely mean he expanded into coffee precisely when he shouldn't have and basically just over-extended for too long on credit.
  20. Tell us what we want to hear...she didn't want it, right? Ulver arrived today in top-notch shape, thanks.
