Yeah, wouldn't hold your breath on anything past Where You Want to Be being repressed. I am surprised that S/T hasn't been pressed. Also, I wonder if/when they'll put out a new album.

Pretty nifty. I'll be buying it, definitely. A Great Big Hole was done really damn well. I started to ask why Max was doing a cover (not that I'm complaining) and then as I listened to the first song I realized he was in it. Are they close? Pretty cool. This is a random question, but does anyone know if Ben did guest vocals for a band called Squid the Whale? There's a song where I swear he starts singing.

Woohoo! Intro time! Looking forward to doing shopping and planning. I always look forward to SS every year, even when I'm not on VC much.
So, I'm Kevin. I'm 23, will be 24 by the time the packages get sent out. I'm still in college for creative writing. I've been collecting vinyl since 2011-ish. I've slowed down a lot over the last two years or so, but I still buy the things I really want/need when I can. I've been selling off unnecessary parts of my collection because I recently moved and GOD DAMN that was a pain. So I'm wielding it down to the good stuff, and stuff I know I'll listen to. Quality over quantity and all.
So, I like a lot of different music. Post-hardcore, darker folk, more progress indie, some progressive metal, pop punk, and a decent amount of stuff I don't know how to put into a genre. My favorite bands are Dance Gavin Dance (and a bunch of the bands around them), Circa Survive, Taking Back Sunday, The Dear Hunter, The Wonder Years, Murder by Death, Lydia, and a lot more. 
My favorite TV shows are usually crime/outlaw dramas. And a few other things mixed in. Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, Hell on Wheels, Justified, Game of Thrones, Black Sails, Silicon Valley, It's Always Sunny, and plenty more.
My taste in books is random as hell. But I love pulpy crime fiction and dark thrillers. My favorite authors are Cormac McCarthy and Elmore Leonard.
I like whiskey. I don't drink a lot these days, but when I do it's either a nice whiskey. A good cider or the occasional stout.  Bourbon is my favorite but I can get down with most any whiskey as long as it's not, like, Black Velvet or Canadian Mist.
I will say that my tradelist is woefully out of date, but I did update my want list with the stuff I'm looking for. I also like band/tour prints and that kinda stuff, especially the bigger ones that I can frame and hang in my house. My living room is lined with them. Haha. Shirt size large. Uh. I'm running out of things to say.
Oh, I'm also a video game and tech nerd. I love messing with new and old computer/audio stuff. My favorite game series are Fallout and Kingdom Hearts, hands down. Those are the only two I'm really into past playing them when they come out.

So, they put up the campaign and there's no regular vinyl option, and the test press packages sell out automatically, so people complain and tell them "we want a regular vinyl package and damn, I wish I could have gotten one of those test packages", so they out up a few more test packages and a regular vinyl option and some more hand-written lyrics packages to give people what they want, and now they're money-hungry people who don't deserve to have their own religious opinions. 25 is not by any means an unheard of number of tests. The Weak's End test I have is /15 or /20 I think. They're just just pocketing all that money, there's time and production costs that goes into every package. With a $200 package. They have to get two vinyl records made, a CD, a print that they then sign, they hand-write lyrics you get to pick, they send a t-shirt, and there's probably other things I'm missing too. Why are people getting so pissed off about them giving their fans what they asked for and are obviously willing to pay for?
And from what I've seen their Bad Christian "label" is because they curse and drink and admit that their not perfect and that everyone makes mistakes, and in the eyes of the more "perfect" Christians, they're bad Christians. But I suppose everyone has their own interpretation of it and everyone is entitled to said opinion. Just like everyone is entitled to have their own views on religion and how they go about it. If they can make money without stealing it from their followers and telling people that beating children and condemning everyone else is an okay thing to do, more power to them. They wrote a book, big deal. They have a podcast, who cares? They have their beliefs and they're allowed to do so.

Funny enough, I got a huge package from MBD on the same day as this so that split was right on point. It's one of the few I was missing. That La Dispute record is awesome since I had to trade mine awhile back for something I needed more. I love hearing music from people's hometowns so the other LP and split were cool. The 7" (Fuck Your something in cursive) was definitely my favorite out of the stuff I didn't know. I went through and listened to all the music on the playlist (sadly not in order because playlist files don't like me and wouldn't import in to anything) and definitely found some rad music I'm gonna have to look into! I'm also always happy to add more buttons to my "why do I have all these buttons?" box and some of the ones you sent are really rad!
My SS is definitely Mike aka smailtronic unless someone else lives in Chocago, works at Adler and listens to the same obscure and amazing emo bands.

Oh my god, the whining is real. If you remember, they weren't even offering a regular vinyl for the IGG at first and it was all going to be preorders except for the bigger packages. Then, people whined, so they added a regular vinyl option. No frills. If they call it "regular joe", it's probably pretty basic. Yeah, people who supported them should get a cool variant, but they weren't even going to offer a regular vinyl for the campaign until people whined about it. They are offering a special vinyl for the IGG, and you could have gotten it, but you wanted a "regular now" vinyl, and that's what you're getting. I'm not happy about how long we have to wait or some of their business practices, but I chalk it up to them just not being abreast of all the vinyl trends and knowing how to do it. But you know what! They did it, and we're getting vinyl. If people want to act like children and throw away their vinyl, fine, but stop whining about it. I'm not defending all the of band@/ practices, or the way they handled some things, I know some of it was kinda shitty but they've also never self-released a big album before. All I'm saying is, you didn't have to contribute to the campaign, you could've waited for the PO and got a flashy color, but everyone wanted a regular vinyl option, so they gave you one, and now everyone's whining about it. I'm annoyed that the album took this long and that these guys aren't good at communicating, but this album is really, surpassingly great and even if I get a black vinyl with the alternate cover, I'll be content.

God DAMN this song fucking kills it. I think I was right when I said that Tilian's second album with them would be right up there with Happiness. So fucking good.

If there's more than one or two variants of that I'm done with this variant collection. -.- Either way, though, I wouldn't complain. I'm honestly over that for the moment. I hope more people can get their hands on one. And if it is the Juturna tour, I'm fucking going. I wish it was someone besides Balance & Composure, but Chon will be badass. I still have to track down a variant of the new album. Fingers crossed for a black/unlimited repress of Juturna and OLG. BSN, too, but that's a long-shot. I won't really be sad if I have to sell off some variants. More money for a new PC. I'll still have the important things.
