If it was before whatever day they secretly changed the rules (late August I believe) then she is grandfathered in for another year. Our shared account is up in December, just in time for all of the Christmas shopping I'm sure we will be doing on Amazon. For me, the sale tomorrow is worth it.

My wife and I share an account with her parents and brother. We will be getting our own account on Friday. The machine wins again.

I read somewhere that they changed their account sharing to be strictly within a single household. They did it without telling anyone and so as account renewals come up shared accounts outside of a single household will be canceled. Am I crazy or did this happen? If so, this would be a good option if you're on a shared account (like me).

Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a place on this forum specifically dedicated to inquiries like yours? We could call it Sale/Trade/Wants and put it right on the main page. And new users could all flip their sealed hot topic vinylz in an organized fashion without having to go through all of the work it takes to find a 9 month old thread. A guy can dream, right?

Fat Tony's house is one i hadn't thought of, thanks. The building he's in is the fitness center in the new expansion and it won't let you store those bldgs. EDIT: No luck with the compound or the social club.

Thanks, that's what I thought. It is a wooden shelf but the only thing on it is the turntable itself. The amp/preamp are with the rest of my home theater stuff on another shelf in a different unit. Speakers are freestanding on the floor. I'm wondering if I get a small rubber or cork mat to put under the motor and the feet of the turntable if that would decouple them enough to cut down on some of the noise.

It's properly grounded. It's motor hum that's always been there and I'm finally getting around to doing something about it lol.

Yo yo. Not really new to the game but have what may be considered a dumb question so figures I would start here. I have a ProJect RPM and I get some motor hum that I can hear even though the motor isn't connected to the unit (I'm guessing it's being transmitted through the shelf that everything is sitting on. What are some good ways to reduce said motor hum? I was looking at an in-line RCA noise filter, would that work? Anyone here use one?

It's really cool and all but the files are enormous. Also it was a huge pain in the ass to have the tech crew constantly watching the clock to change out memory cards and make sure the cameras weren't overheating. Adobe Premier does really like 4k footage though, at that resolution you can do almost anything. I guess I don't really recommend 4k really unless you're going to be doing a lot of digital manipulation in post, the hardware to view true 4k just isn't really that widespread yet so IMO it's not worth the hassle of memory/shooting time constraints if you can get a good shot at 1080. We are however going to watch the final product on a friend's 4k TV just to see it in all of its full-res glory haha.

Egg timer thing was genius. I do production stuff at a church and we just had this big service that we wanted to record without having to rent a bunch of expensive equipment. We borrowed 12 GoPros from people I know/church members so that we could shoot at 4k and digitally pan/zoom without introducing any digital noise grain. It's going to take forever to edit/recombine all of that footage (23 cameras total for an hour, twice- we filmed Saturday rehearsal for "just in case" footage) but we've been able to do some cool stuff with the little bit we've looked at. The test footage looks way more expensive than it was.

I hope it sticks for you this time, but the beautiful thing about music is that it speaks to different people in different ways. Don't feel any pressure to like the album if it's not clicking for you. There's this core of early 2000s albums that the musical elite like to pretend define good taste in music. At the end of the day listen to what makes you happy.

This discussion prompted me to listen to Clarity on the run I just finished. I wouldn't call it any more "samey" than Bleed American or Futures in that it is a well thought out, cohesive track list with all the songs being by the same band and written in the same time period. Also, I forgot how much I love Lucky Denver Mint.
