  1. Dark blue is where it's at This record tho, such a game changer for me
  2. worked 26.5 hours straight because local construction dug up the fiberoptic cables for the fire alarm system at the local University. That was pretty shit.
  3. I have the Schiit they compared them to and have no complaints thus far about it but very interesting PLUTO got a bunch more of the vote. If Pluto had come out even three months earlier I would likely be using that, it just wasn't out yet when I was looking. Glad to hear people like it though, hoping for the best for U-Turn
  4. Yeah, thought that episode finally started to get some shit going. Could care less about bust-ass shootout.
  5. Kessler is one of my most hated players on my second most hated team so I hope it fucks them both. Lots of negativity lately so yo, I hope the Blue Jackets really turn it around this year. Team I'm excited to watch grow.
  6. Bickell is much more of a mind exploding contract. Bickell couldn't even break 40 points in the AHL let alone an NHL season. Saad has already done 47 and 52 and two full NHL campaigns. He's faster, better in virtually every area and could actually keep up with Chicago's top 6, something Bickell cannot and will never do. That was one of Bowman's few bad contracts.
  7. Saad is an exceptional player who losing will forever be a major bummer to that organization, no matter what anyone is saying. He was arguably the best player the Hawks had besides Keith from start to finish this past playoffs. His consistency helped big time for a team who had players dipping in and out of production round to round. Saad will be a star and is already amazing but that's the nature of the cap game. Sharp I think is good for 60 points again on Dallas, especially in a system where so long as you score you don't seem to have to uphold any defensive responsibility. Still blowing my mind they haven't traded for a top 2 defenceman. Klingberg is their best D man by a landslide and that's terrible.
  8. Edmonton is gambling on a lot of their pick ups (Sekera playing a full year, Talbot being stellar in front of their utter trash defence, McDavid having a Selanne-esque rookie season) but I'll be surprised if they crack the 70 point mark. I don't think this organization is a single off-season fix, hell, McTavish still has a job there so they aren't fully ready to cut the shit. Buffalo could go either way, they have complied a bunch of pieces that were good on their own but had trouble clicking in a team setting, but who knows. I think O'Reilly is criminally underrated, his puck possession and defensive zone starts were way better and harder than Duchene's the last two years and yet no one questions Duchene's star status. Hopefully he can be the guy in Buffalo until Eichel is ready. I'm excited to see just how bad Toronto can actually get. They were bottom four this year and they were the only team actually trying to win. Now they've dished the only guy who could score on the team so this will be hilarious. I'm hoping for a big time Blue Jackets turn around. They got shit luck last year and added Saad. Can't wait to watch that team this year.
  9. My first real streaming experience after only dabbling in Spotify. Cancelled my Spotify membership and fully on board with Apple Music. Connected into the iTunes had me sold. Easy as hell. Like it so far
  10. Tim Riggins is obvi gay, there's no way you would need a boner pill to smash with one of the hottest girls alive. Did he pick up that prostitute in episode 3? Havent watched yet
  11. Obviously, Mike Richards has failed a drug test in his years in LA. You don't think the organization tucked that into their 'just in case' folder years ago. Covering their own ass and now they prosper. It wouldn't take Sherlock Holmes to catch Richards doing something he probably shouldn't be Probably was a simple as: "Hey Stoll, where'd you get that blow?" *management turns on tape recorder and motions him to read off paper in front of him* "I received this 3 gram ballon of cocaine via Michael Richards" *signs new contract*
  12. Yeah no clue what Boston is doing right now. Calgary slaughtered that draft. Coming out with Dougie, Andersson and Kylington with only two late second rounders, good christ what a day for them. Kylington falling to 60 is batshit insane.
  13. Draft day trades? Seems like Kessel won't go. Moving him will take time. Will someone bite on Sharp? I think he has the best chance of going draft day. Anyone in the top 10 trade their first? I would actually love to see Sharp go to Columbus for their 8th overall. Unless Provorov is on the board still, then take em.
  14. Liked the into, absolutely loved that girl's song in the bar. So damn good. I thought Vaughn was the only person not overreacting some of their parts. Tim Riggins should have stuck to football, not sure I can handle him in this show. I just like picturing Colin Ferrel's character as him in real life when he was super fucked up doing drugs and shit all the time. That line about ass fucking dad with mom's decapitated corpse was A+
  15. In the middle of a renovation nightmare myself currently. My uncle-in-law had an incredible old two bedroom (was 3 but smashed out a wall to make a giant masterbedroom) house in downtown Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Evicted the old tenants due to them not paying any rent/bills. Took two giant rent a bin/shipping containers just to clean out garbage. Computer parts, dog shit, syringes, bike parts, tools, every fucking pice of trash you can imagine was in there. I refinished all the hardwood (living/dining/both bedrooms), replaced all the old knob and tube wiring (i'm an electrical apprentice), new appliances, painted every single wall in the house (they we're all navy blue and dark green, the fucking worst), had plumbers come in and change all the old lead pipes and had a tile guy come do the entrance/kitchen/bathroom. The original plan was just refinish floors and paint but once we saw the pipes and the poor condition of pretty much everything we went full out. The plan was to rent from him for probably 2 or so years until my wife graduated and landed full-time employment and we decided where to live. Then today she gets an email from her old co-op boss for a job in a city an hour away, making twice as much as I do and we'll likely be moving there and getting a house soon. All that work and we'll likely live there for two months if that.
  16. I'm running a Uturn audio table, a Schiit Mani phono pre, schiit SYS for volume control and KRK rokit 8 powered speakers. As for the cables running in between do people have recommendations? Does it really matter? Any links to purchase/compare online would be great too. Thanks!
  17. Honestly it really comes down to tapping on your legs and playing beats every single time you're sitting down. I also tap with my teeth a ton but so many break throughs in my playing came from simply tapping it out on the legs. It builds rhythm and hones your internal clock and let's you sort of try and emulate the beat you want sound wise rather than thinking technically "what should I be hitting" Never stop tapping
  18. Hey guys, hoping for some help here. Don't know if what im doing is totally wack but im just waiting on a phono pre im getting from a friend when his new pre is built. In the meantime im looking to reduce space and not spend money. I have: Uturn audio turntable and rokit 8 powered speakers. I'm Seeing if it's possible to run my Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 recording interface as the preamp until I get my actual phono pre? Link to the Focusrite: http://us.focusrite.com/usb-audio-interfaces/scarlett-18i8 Could I get some sort of adapter that turns the RCA cables into a 1/4" input/inputs and run it thru the Focusrite? Is this possibly? Am I crazy? Will lose it being stereo? Will I have to run a computer as well to tell it what to do? Like I said, don't know anything about this, just thought hey this might work. Wondering if anyone can help me out or tell me not to do it
  19. I scanned the craigslist for Detroit and surrounding area, this is by far the best deal on there and would do you great for a long time. Doesn't have cymbals but it's a really great price for this kit it's worth having to pick up a cheap batch of cymbals online somewhere after: http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/msg/5031998118.html
  20. PDP is solid mid-level stuff to look at. Gretsch makes a kit called the catalina club mod. Can usually be found in the 500-600 range and sound great for the price. Little bit of a longer kick drum, gives you that real boom and thud you hear in the kick in those bands you mentioned. Just as good, if not better than the PDP kits but with the cymbals that ad is a great deal. Kit looks like this usually: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gretsch-Catalina-Club-Mod-4-Piece-Drum-Set-with-Sabian-cymbals-and-hardware-/161694601749 they've been around long enough they should be somewhat easy to find used. I also highly recommend any of the older Yamaha stuff that looks like link below. You can tell by the hardware, those long strips running up and down the whole kit. I've used one similar a couple times to record and it was fantastic, they really stood the test of time and I plan on buying one the next time they pop up in my area. Again, usually sit between the $500-$800 mark depending on condition. http://www.vintageandrare.com/uploads/products/17345/699941/original.jpg
  21. Excellent price and great kit for what you want to do. I played a PDP for 5 or 6 years before upgrading to the 3k Gibson type kit I use now. For what you want it's perfect
