Pressed on double vinyl, colored and 180g in gatefold cover (upgraded cardboard, printed inside out). Comes in two different color configurations: Bronze splatter on bone and Orange in Bone

This album is the very first live album by Russian Circles and it was recorded at dunk!festival 2016 where they headlined that edition. We knew what these guys from Chicago were capable of so we expected a lot of their show but we didn't knew it was going to be perfect. So we thought we should have this pressed on vinyl and make it a physical memory to this amazing performance.
 
The tracks, recorded by Jannes Van Rossom (Deaftone) and Thierry Staelens were mixed by Dallas Thomas from Pelican and mastered for vinyl by Collin Jordan (The Boiler Room LLC). These tunes are now being pressed on high quality 180g colored vinyl, in two different color configurations. The package comes in an upgraded gatefold cover, printed inside out, designed by Error! Design. The inside is a collage of pictures taken at dunk!festival 2016 by Davy De Pauw and Gosia Wanda.

lol, no.  You need a bigger sample size, and your analogy is dumb.

This doesn't need retreading here, but there are loads of reasons why people what black records, and yes, sound quality is one of them. Will all black copies sound better than color copies? No. But there is a greater chance of issues with splatters and other crazy color combos. On top of that, did you ever think that some people may think the splatters and tri-split records just look dumb? 

I have some black records that sound like shit, and some swirls that sound great. I'm going for black almost every time though.

got mine yesterday. looks great, though the UV print titles of the albums on the front of the box is pretty tacky. the box has the side opening, so you can see the spines of all the albums, which i much prefer to the type of boxsets that need to be opened/sorted through to find the album you want/have those bullshit flimsy lids. the jackets/artwork are good quality, though the printed inner sleeves are sometimes lacking (the older albums only having black and white printing) but each lp comes in a poly lined black dust cover so you'd never need to use the printed inners anyway.
 
it's hard to tell in that picture, and i didn't notice it the first time i looked, but there's a very slight green splatter on chaos ad and it rules. 
 
i've only listened to BTR so far, but the sound/pressing quality was very good, no pops, no warping whatsoever. even if these are done with a digital master from rhino, i'm fine with it. i understand roots is far too long for a single lp, but it will be getting the least amount of play of all of these albums, so it's not a big deal. for the price, this box is outta the ballpark.
