Got my UK/EU copies today, and they're pretty awesome. They were packaged very nicely. Took a quick and crappy pic of the splatters.

The company that printed the UK/EU inserts printed them wrong because they're dumb fucks. This will be fixed in the next few days.

For me, I must cry what is this board coming to where I cannot discuss sound quality with people free from the influence of PCP. I am not my brother.

This is the first vinyl release the band has put out themselves. Topshelf has put out everything else for them and the only reason there are so many variants is because Topshelf represses the releases when they sell out. So you're butthurt over pretty much nothing.

you guys are aware of how producers help 'shape' songs and so on? entirely plausible that good band + will yip = bad results.

I get the seller is an idiot who should've know better, but if you asked me for 40% of the purchase price back because of a scratched sleeve with a bent corner I'd tell you to fuck right off.
 
Maybe 10-15%, but 40%? Give me a break. Unless you were planning on framing it, that value of the sleeve being almost half the cost of the record doesn't make sense.
 
He'd make more refunding you in full, getting his record back and reselling with a "well worn and loved copy" he's only selling due to "hard times". Even with a bent corner and some scratches someone who doesn't have it will pay crazy prices to own the record.
