I remember ordering mine from Popmarket and eventually got fed up that they kept bumping the release date back month after month.  Canceled my order and now I don’t even see a Sold Out listing on their site.

They cancelled all the orders. I also had one in at Popmarket, and they eventually just gave up.

I'd be very happy with a scratch n dent copy at a reasonable price. I refuse to pay the insane import or flipper prices for this.

You posted this reply a 11:58AM EST. 2 minutes before noon. I had the page loaded but when I refreshed just now I am 4007 in queue and apparently will have to wait 37 minutes. Stupid fucking RT.

Yep, I got in about 20 minutes early, and kept refreshing. It looks like the stock went live around 11:54 am.

LOL, my time is apparently up at the site. Now I'm 5,707th in line. Record Store Day is dumb.

  3. oh, people will definitely buy it for sure. I'm not a variant collector though, so I'm currently convincing myself I don't need it. Same with [Untitled], if they ever do that. The original box is going to be hard to beat. I'll definitely double dip on Pale Horses though. The concept was nice, but it ended up turning out pretty shitty. Mine is ripped and smooshed and doesn't sit on the shelf nice.

If anyone uses Chrome and want's a free VPN extension to hear the song, K2VPN works.

Thanks, that was really helpful!  The song surprised me. I like it, but I can see how it would be really divisive. I can't imagine the entire album will be like this. As Derek mentioned, the last minute hints at some traditional Deafheaven material. Still, I imagine this album will be pretty different, and I am here for it.

  5. Virus had some serious bangers, but the production was a little muddy and brickwalled, and I don't revisit it that often. I have been listening to the Crimson Corridor a lot lately. Great songs and production. I also really like the quieter melodic moments. They help the heavy parts punch more.

This album was the beginning of the end for me with Thursday. I loved Waiting, Full Collapse, and War. ACBTLD on CD just sounded strange, and Common Existence was unlistenable for me.

I really enjoy the songs on ACBTLD, I just never listen to it because of the production. I didn't really connect with Common Existence or No Devolucion, but I love the Envy split. The production on that is beautiful too.
