  1. http://instagram.com/brandoncolli3 Records, shows, random stuff!
  2. Just posting to reiterate how awesome this album is. A straight-up rock-n-roll/punk/indie album that's loud, straightforward, catchy and in no parts boring. Right at the top of this year's releases!
  3. Hmmm... Are people really questioning if race is a social construct?? I thought it was common knowledge now that race is a social construction..
  4. Same here. I was listening to this on a crowded bus on the way home. But then when I got home I did what James would say, 'turn up the amplifiers', and it sounded way better. So into this now!
  5. Feeling kinda bad for all the innocent members in all of those bands who have to put up with this shit...
  6. I get what you feel and yes I find it fascinating too! To me it seems like that distancing from prejudice rather than violence stems from our laws. I feel that most of the time a country's laws reflects the values that particular societies hold because it basically says what's right and wrong. It's just that, all these movements for equality being so recent, laws haven't been put into place yet for them and so there is a lot of battling going on to stake what is right and wrong.
  7. I can still see them here: http://runforcoverrecords.limitedrun.com/products/search?q=WHIRR
  8. Because some people have different values and ideals. Some people just think the world ought to be a certain way. In Nick's case, males should be males. Females should be females, and be happy with their ascribed gender. It's a big deal because it has great social repercussions. People like Nick (I presume it's him) believe the world ought to be a certain way but most people think the other, which is that we should accept everyone for who they are or who they want to be. It will continue to be a big deal until there is a definite laydown on what things should be. (When laws are set in place)
  9. I didn't ever bother about their behaviour on twitter or FB beforehand. But I do bother watching RFC's Tuesdays With Tay. And when I saw this episode, that's when I realized: so it's true, they're assholes. Lol this is by far the most 'disliked' video on RFC's channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgfw45EqkPw
  10. When they were doing it to random people, there was still a slight chance they were doing it as a joke or just to seek attention, and there was no focus on one person in particular. This time though, they're just full-on bashing G.L.O.S.S. so..
  11. Probably because RFC is bigger than Graveface. They've got another split 7" with Anne and also the Part Time Punks EP through RFC too.
  12. Of course murder is worse than transphobia. But the reason why the vocalist of Nothing's attempted murder/murder does not draw as much flak/attention is that murder is already deeply embedded in our consciousness as being bad. There's already a heavy legal penalty to pay for it. Transphobia on the other hand, is one of those things such as racism or sexism that the public's views have radically altered in recent times because equality is very much a thing in vogue right now. And there are no laws yet in place to persecute transphobic people. So of course this shit's going to draw so much attention to it. Just some thoughts..
  13. Never had a problem with SRC until about 2 weeks ago. I had placed an order back in August for about 4 LPs. Then I went and ordered a Sufjan Stevens LP and another 7" during their massive sale. I sent in an email to combine the orders and refund me the excess shipping I paid, since the first order contained pre-order items. They said it was okay for me to combine the orders, but that they do not refund shipping... When I asked why, they said the 4.99 shipping is already discounted and that the 10 USD I paid in total would account not only for the shipping cost, but also for the 'labour' costs. I mean, it's one thing to have a policy of not returning the excess shipping costs (which is already shitty), but giving me such a crappy excuse of 'labour' costs just brought it up to a whole level. I mean, do they not pay their workers for their labour?! Needless to say, never gonna order from them any time soon.
  14. Thinking this might be the only exclusive colour out there. Gotta pull the trigger! Especially since I just checked they don't charge your card till it ships.
  15. I suppose Nosebleed is Neseblod Records? I went there earlier this year. A truly legit record store with tons of black metal. They have a basement section for punk and hardcore stuff as well. Besides, the store is located at Helvete, which was opened by Euronymous before his murder. A must-visit!
  16. Bullmoose, you guys should start accepting credit cards from outside the US!
  17. Got the 'Best of' cassette and also the You Are Beneath Me 7" with alternate cover!
  18. Wonder if Topshelf will have an exclusive variant. Anyone know?
  19. Yea, hoping they put up more stuff that I want so I can spread out the shipping costs..
  20. Just saw them 5 days ago live. It was so fucking good. Pre ordered definitely!
