Were these really $30 on the tour? Cheaper than discogs currently.

And now, at long last, a PO for music from Charles Bissell under the name Car Colors. Not personally feeling a 3-song vinyl blind buy, but really excited to eventually hear this and the full LP.

Bandbox is reissuing the Long Winters catalog. Most of these are pretty tough/expensive to get at this point. When I Pretend To Fall in particular is a really great album.

Pretty good Indonesian emo album from Cubfires:

Oh yeah I forgot to mention a couple weeks ago we watched No One Will Save You on Hulu. I really enjoyed it.
I liked it too. Thought it was a little too committed to the bit, which made it feel unrealistic at times (especially when she gets to town), but as an exercise was very effective.
Also recently watched Knock at the Cabin (liked it), M3GAN (pretty fun!) and Skinamarink (I guess it was good but just not for me). On my list for the month so far are Rosemary’s Baby, Amulet, Evil Dead Rise, In the Earth, and Malignant.

Ordered a leftover. The prospect of having a pressing without the SRC gaps was just too tempting, even if the artwork is a little sketchy.

This went up last week sometime. The limited green marble sold out almost immediately and the black out of stock too (although I think they will be available everywhere eventually) but I just check randomly and was able to get a green, so I’m passing it along. I know the OP is hard to come by. Really great album.

My “polaris blue” came out almost completely white.
My black came completely black. It’s so black it’s like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black.

New ten year anniversary version - one standard mostly of cool bands covering the original and a deluxe with the original and cover record. Pressing info at the Foxing site. Torn personally as this sounds cool but not sure I’d ever spin it and not sure I need a third copy of this record after the OP and remastered versions. Maybe I’ll try for a tour copy at the Foxing/Hotelier show.

Got my black copy of After the Magic. Packaging looks great, look forward to spinning it.

What 2 albums of hers would you recommend someone listen to first?
I’m far from an LDR scholar, but I would think you should do one of the first two albums (Born to Die/Ultraviolence) and then Norman Fucking Rockwell.

September 10 is the new date!
Was just looking at this at the top of my “ordered but not yet received” list. I’m willing to wait.

I bet a sizable portion of the membership on this board don't listen to their records, whether they admit it or not.
I’ll take that bet.

No vinyl sadly but I’m pretty into this right now.

Passing this along for anyone who liked this (very good) album.

Last night was the end of Pool Kids first headlining tour and I specifically waited for a headlining tour to see them. Unfortunately half the band was sick so they played as a 2-piece for the first time in several years and it was really great! A couple touring guitarists stepped up and learned 2 songs in less than 24 hours which was so cool. Maybe the best two-piece band I've seen live.
They are headlining a pretty small venue in St. Louis is a couple weeks and while I really like but don’t quite love the last album, I’ve heard such raves about them live I’m gonna try to go.

Got my BV copy today.

Very intrigued by this one.

Might sneak in a few more, but here’s what I watched this holiday season: Rosemary’s Baby, Host, His House, They Live, The Exorcist, Poltergeist, Candy Land, Coming Home in the Dark, Lamb, Watcher, and Scream VI. Really liked Host and His House and liked Scream VI more than I expected.
