  1. At Randy's in SLC, picked up a bunch of stuff I just never got around to grabbing: Richard Buckner - Bloomed Tom Waits - Mule Variations Midlake - Antiphon ( bootleg edition) Ephraim Manuel Menuck - Plays High Gospel
  2. They've been posting a bunch of stuff to their instagram account, for those interested. http://instragram.com/thefelixculpa
  3. Finally got the new Forest Swords. Been digging that.
  4. Per Twitter and their website. Not sure how many others know them, but as my avatar suggests I'm a huge fan and Sever Your Roots is a top ten album for me. Hoping to make it up to Chicago from St. Louis to see them and stoked about new music. http://thefelixculpa.com
  5. I had one like thus about a man trying to build a super car that I was told by some British soccer fans. I pull if out every once in a while when I want to bug people and stretch it out depending on how much fun I want to have. I can probably recreate it if people are really interested.
  6. Obsolete I guess, but I always liked this one: How to you know when it's time for bed at Michael Jackson's house? When the big hand is on the little hand.
  7. Bittersweet Symphony would be the most overrated song ever, if it qualified as a song. Its more like someone answered the question "What if Puff Daddy was British?"
  8. How was a pressing if 2,500 an "honest estimate" for this release? They did like 3200 of that RSD "Three" set of recent 7" singles, which is much less desirable than this would be.
  9. I grew up during the indie/alt-rock/whatever boom and love plenty of those bands, but I find Pavement almost unlistenable.
  10. Sounds like Razia's Shadow without the concept.
  11. Good point. "Artists" like Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, and Marvin Gaye are the worst.
  12. Meaning everyone will freak out about getting tickets , overpaying if necessary, then a ton of other dates will be announced that makes them look foolish?
  13. Apologies if this has been asked and/or answered, but does anyone know if the R.E.M. Unplugged box on vinyl is an RSD-only item or if it will be available in vinyl in non-RSD later on? I know it's being released later on CD, but from the press releases and articles I've seen, I can't tell if another vinyl version will be available later. It's pretty much the only thing I'm super interested in so I'm trying to gauge whether I can skip RSD altogether . . .
  14. Some good mail days last week: Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreak (reissue) Motion City Soundtrack - Commit This to Memory (black) HRVRD - The Inevitable & I (red/beer w/ blue splatter - 3rd press) HRVRD - From the Bird's Cage (light blue marble - 1.5 press) Jess Williamson - Native State ("Texas flag" red, while & blue vinyl - 144/300)
  15. Is the Johnny Cash the original or recent repress? Would snatch it up if original.
  16. Have the original, but I'll probably monitor the prices on the black press for the future. I don't have as big a problem with the sound quality of the original as some, but if it gets good marks, I may cave.
  17. Got a pink. probably could have waited, but prefer it in pink and didn't want to sleep on it.
  18. Or you can order via the early bird special: http://www.shopradiocast.com/products/Mew-%252d-Frengers-2XLP-%28ADVANCE-PRE-ORDER%29.html
