Releasing some of these on a single LP is just stupid.

They were expensive to begin with, paid 70USD a piece for mine here in Europe (mastodon 45rpm-s)

What do you mean by this exactly? Read the Rolling Stone article above, they are clearly doing whatever they want and using their talent to the max and on their own terms, like they have since 1999. The high price is clearly an attempt from the management to pay for the ridiculous amount of money that went into making the music (again, read the article). They are famous for booking entire studio for 6-12 months and writing and recording the entire album there. A bit stupid, but hey, this is probably the only way for them to get everyone in one room.

If you send like 5 albums, its not that bad actually (around 5 USD per record), but if you only want one, its... well... insane. Thats why I dont order anything from the US anymore, so its mutual.

Im sure it wont sell out for years, all the previous Roadrunner versions havent, I think.

Saw Miss Machine last week in a store here, and man, the sleeve was very well done, better than the first press which I sold couple of years ago. Price was "nice" though - 28 euros.

This was probably a bad press but to the person that commented that this skips but his 50 year old records dont has gotten it all wrong. 50 years ago records were cut with less dynamics than nowadays because those old players just couldnt hand it (result: skipping), so those old records are least likely to skip on modern turntables.

I thought Coldplay was regarded good last time around 2005 or so, its all been downhill from there and Im sure many will agree. For me, personally I just dont understand how their latest albums just sound so bad production wise, the brickwalled mastering is just awful. The Nile Rodgers guitar disco sound is definitely here, but again - listen to the latest Daft Punk album and this - the production just dont compare. I do like the happy up-beat direction though.

I know Adele only by her singles, but decided to listen to the new album to see what the fuzz is about. Is it me but the chorus of "Send My Love (To Your New Lover" is just plain awful - it doesnt fit her style at all, its more like a Gwen Stefani song or something, plus its track number two on the album, what a bad choice. And the lyrics seem to be exactly about the same thing as the biggest single on the previous album.

Been listening to them since Revolution Is My Name was in TV and to this day I think Reinventing... is their best album, not a single filler on that.
