I wouldn't bother listening to a greatest hits album by them. If I'm going to listen to a band I absolutely love, I'm going to play an album start to finish (I feel that way about all albums anyway). I don't have Foo's Greatest Hits for this very reason. Albums are meant to be heard in the order they were tracked (at least in my opinion). Count me out, even though I'll always be a huge Nirvana fan.
 
That being said, this could be a repress of that 2002 hits album.

That's rad. I really like his style. He deserves the attention. So far that is my favorite print from the latest line of Foo prints. I hope the PDX and WAS prints are of a similar style cause those are the ones I'll be attending.

I want this, but $75 is a little hight for the amount I'll end up spinning it. This OST is gorgeous, but a selective listen for me. I would probably be in for $50.

Biking home from work is a fucking shit show. People just don't give a fuck about people on bikes.
They are so concerned with getting home from work that they are pretty much willing to kill someone to get home 2 minutes sooner.
Cars do rolling stops and since they don't see a car they just keep going. Fucking STOP.
Not only that but they look at you like you're the first upright asshole to walk the earth.
I had a guy scream at me and slam on his breaks cause he didn't bother to stop at a stop sign, continued through and almost plow into me all because he didn't come to a stop.

So I'm not a fan of Brand New at all, but this dude played the asshole card for RSD by buying two copies of Deja. Not only did he buy two but in the comments he goes on to explain that he is going to frame one of them and keep it as a backup in case something happens to the other copy. Seriously. What the fuck. You're going to frame a paper bag... what? I don't even like this band and this makes my blood boil. I would rather he be flipping the second (still an asshole move) cause at least it would give another fan a shot at having it. I call this dude out and his comeback is that I variant collect Caspian. Dude, it's a variant collection - they are all different. You're buying multiple copies of one limited and sought after pressing. I'm buying one copy of different variants of albums that are easy to get ahold of. An asshole that buys break RSD Rule #1 would have that weak comeback.
Anyways. Sorry for anyone who didn't get it. I know missing out on something you've been looking forward to sucks. Hopefully you'll get a repress. As long as you can spin it that's what matters.

I won't give personal examples from my life to gain sympathy or get backing from other members cause I don't give a fuck. (Yes, there are some people on here that are awesome and really like, but damn, who really gives a shit about the majority of people on here.)

I GOT THE JOB!!!

It definitely took me a while and it was a rough journey. Growing up half in CA, and half in VA. Then moving in NYC cause I had no other options, ended up hating it. Tried to move to Seattle only to have my friend bail. Ended up moving in Utah for a year. Then finally moved to Seattle with my ex and ended up hating her and Seattle. Finally made it to Portland and it was everything I wanted, and where the love of my life lives. So it all worked out. Took almost 30 years, but I held in there, and so should you. And know others know the feeling, and if you want any advice or to vent, I'm here.

Definitely a bit of both. I decided I'm already taking that difference in pay ($10k) and putting that aside a year. That'll be my house fund, then I'll spend what I normally do on records. The lady and I are aiming for a sick music room one day. Thorens TD-160 MKII table here I come!
 
And this is more than just a job to me. This is a future. I finally feel like I can start making Portland my home with this job, and this new apartment. I can start building a future with the woman I love, and I'm fucking stoked. I never thought I would get to this point. Especially since I've lived in 5 states in the last 4-1/2 years. It's been a rough road, but I'm finally on the right path.

So, thanks to you trusty VCers I hadn't otherwise realised our websites currency converter had stopped working. It's fixed now, and through some proxy site testing mimicking a US and then Germany connection, it seems to be working again. Currencies should be local, but final checkout will remain in $AUD. Which for a lot of you, means big currency savings. For me, it means pressing records is even more expensive. Swings and roundabouts.
