FangsAnalSatan
pics? It's not a high quality picture like I'd usually take because I'm super busy and I don't have time to set up lighting. I'll probably take some good pics tomorrow. Here's a shot from my phone.
deletedunknown
Listened more. I guess the post rock elements of some songs just stuck out to me. I like the album, but it Boris does continue to not meet their highmarks set in the past. Would like to see Boris and Mono collaborate on something now though a la the WEG/Mono collab. natenomm
I'm waiting to pick up this album when I see 'em in August. It'll be my first time seeing Boris, and I'm essentially going in not knowing much about 'em.
FangsAnalSatan
You changed your name. It's not that bad. I changed my name before I got this album - I don't dislike it that much. I tried to make it FangsAnalSatan in the Zaglo superscript thing, but there wasn't enough room.
glass realms
Any differences in the mixes between the Japanese and US versions?
jpjustinpape
this album is their best work IMO. I love that its got everything! Listening over and over and over....
Derek™
Credit where credit is due; this album is way better than I expected it to be. Blows New Album out of the water, in my opinion. There are only a handful of super cheesy "anime OST" tracks, and they're towards the beginning of the record. Tracks like Ghost of Romance and Heavy Rain are far more interesting and engaging... for me, anyway. Angel is a magnificent track that goes through so many awesome movements. And despite my distaste for Quicksilver, there's no denying that it kicks ass. It's a little conflicting, with the amount of both cheese and shredding that are packed into those 10 minutes. But by the time it concludes... damn. I'm happy. Anyone know if the Japan / Obi-strip / alternate art version is still available?

Pricey as hell with very reasonable shipping. Going to have to think about that one. [edit] How the hell has Flood not been pressed? Label issues? deletedunknown
Flood could be ideals. Not sure why it hasn't been pressed. It's perfectly separated for a 2LP release. Pissed I could make the residency shows in DC last year. Definitely one of my favorites of theirs. Wouldn't mind a repress of Pink, Rainbow, or Akuma no Uta as well
Derek™
Wouldn't mind a repress of Pink For real. I've been putting off on buying an overpriced copy in hopes of a repress, but I think I just may sell a few things and go for it. Album is too good, and one of the only Boris releases I really enjoy, completely. Anyone know the difference between the translucent pink and the "icy" pink?
Derek™
I would go for the icy PINK. That one looks delicious :-) But what's the difference, do you know? Does the icy pink have swirls inside of the translucent wax, like this?
radiatorhums
Flood and Heavy Rocks, those need to be pressed. Couldn't agree more. A repress of Akuma no Uta would be really nice too. I don't want to pay $100+, especially for a damn picture disc!
deletedunknown
Coulda swore I remember people complaining about one of the pink pressings sound quality, but I can't remember which. That's kept me from going in on one for a long time. I wish SL would just do a repress on black. That would be nice. Also, no love for Rainbow? I also forgot there are two Flood based albums. I think I prefer Black: Implication Flooding more, so there's another want for pressing.
jonnyhambone
I love Rainbow, I'm a long-time Ghost fan too but Kurihara really shines on guitar on this one and adds a great tone to Boris's sounds. This and Vein (both Inoxia pressings) are the only ones I own, besides soon-to-arrive Noise and Parapat.

[edit] How the hell has Flood not been pressed? Label issues? Not sure sorry. I only got a black one but a PINK version would be welcome. Don't mind me - just being a dick. Jelly? markok
Random thought. Boris albums are also cool in that sense when I watch some random youtube vinyl collection video (or collection pictures in general) you can always see whether someone has Boris records or not - their record spines are so identifiable. azvd
US version of Pìnk was repressed by Southern Lord, actually (think it was in red and a variation of pink wax). And since Boris signed with Sargent House, SL kinda moved on. I'ts unlikely at this point that they would turn their attention to the band, as much as there is demand for past releases. I'm guessing Southern Lord's licenses for those albums are done, so they'd probably have to acquire the rights again if they wanted to do a repress. markok
Next year is the albums 10th anniversary, so hopefully we will get the repress at least then.
jared
Seeing as how Sun Baked Snow Cave is getting a vinyl press by Hydra Head, It doesn't make the notion of a Flood press impossible anymore. Also all copies of pink are good. I had all the variants at one point.
Derek™
I wrote both Southern Lord and Sargent House for kicks. I'll post here if I hear anything juicy.

Yeah, it's real cool. The box mailer thing they did for the jacket is beautiful. Also, really loving Noise so far. Looking forward to seeing them at the end of july and picking up both versions
celebdeath
Pink also came in black too. Getting both versions so it'll be interesting to hear how/if the mixes differ.
