cwhitmuzik
hope there's individual vinyl. tempted to get the package though, love andrew too much
dandw12786
Yeah, wishing he'd just do individual records instead of bundles. Smart marketing move as he's going to sell out his 2,000 copies, but kind of shitty as I already have four shirts of his and don't really want another. But I'll still begrudgingly get it. :-)
backpackoat
High Dive is up on Spotify now, I don't think that's been posted in full yet.
thomasj182
I love everything the guy does but if these are the only options to get the vinyl that's really sad.
nardes
Still going for the uber package... Makes shirt number 22 between SoCo, Jack's Mannequin, and am/amitw

McCandless
Rubbish. I don't want a t-shirt. I'll wait.

cwhitmuzik
I wonder if he'll have these on tour. Says it's only available through him so...
larry47591
I really don't care what color I get. Black would be nice

If they don't sell out I'm sure he'll have that variant on tour (he's still selling the Synesthesia picture discs on tour). He pressed 2,000 of the color variant though, so not sure how long that'll last. No mention of if there will be a standard black variant, though. I could see it going either way. cwhitmuzik
Hopefully we'll find answers soon. I'd much prefer to get this on tour.
Snaggle Von Swift
No love for larger people (no 2xl).. and I can't pre-order just the vinyl. I will be at the Dear Jack benefit in November.. hopefully he has this on vinyl there

mmhmm
If he pressed 2,000 copies of the colored variant and does not intend to sell it on tour (assumed), then it's only a matter of time before someone realizes only 500 or so people have forked over cash-money for those bundles and decides to split out the record on its own. Let the waiting game begin.

Let the waiting game begin. This is what I'm hoping for or at least a retail copy of it. As much as I love his music and as big of a fan as I am I can't see them selling 2,000 copies off just p/o bundles. I'm no longer at a point where I can drop 45 bucks after shipping on a vinyl and a t shirt. So I'll wait for this as well. Wasn't the P/U ep limited to 2,000 as well? If so his ep is still readily available so lets hope this happens with the LP.
dandw12786
He had absolutely no vinyl when I saw him play two times last week. Sorry, should have been more clear. I saw him in Ft. Collins and then Omaha in mid-July, and he had them at that point. I'm guessing he was trying to get rid of them, so maybe he succeeded. cwhitmuzik
were these dates headline dates or support dates? probably makes a difference
Buffbloom
were these dates headline dates or support dates? probably makes a difference One was headline, one he was opening for Matt Nathanson. Same merch both nights.
tuneout
I was at some of the last Matt/Gavin tour dates and he still had TPU vinyl on sale.... The album is being far more heavily promoted/pushed with a stronger single so I would not count on those ice blue variants lasting for as long as TPU has. However, since he said ice blue is only being sold 'through him', that makes me believe there will be a black retail variant, or else he'd say it's the only place to get it on vinyl at all. With the way his records skyrocket in value once sold out, I don't think he'll keep this limited knowing how people bitch at him for the rare Jack's catalogue. Even if he does have leftover and puts them out on tour, they're going to be gone by the time the tour is halfway over.
danionly
Sorry if this is a question that has been asked & answered ad nauseam in the past, but has he ever said why JM albums haven't been repressed/kept in print?
cwhitmuzik
EIT is getting repressed next year. Has to do with the label, likely not with him.
danionly
Figured it wasn't up to him specifically, just wasn't sure if it was something he had addressed in an interview or expressed a desire to do but couldn't because of the label/rights.
