snacks4all
No sleep put out the split and when I chatted with the band about it they said that they were in talks with no sleep They were actually never signed to no sleep. Topshelf was the best fit for these guys and I'm still bummed they left
cartmanlit3
They'll get pretty well known on that Real Friends tour this fall. Especially considering some of the dates are already sold out.

JRHews
It's not about changeing their sound, that's on the band. It's just Topshelf defintely was a better home for them in every way.
Shelby
lol @ people thinking Hopeless made Have Mercy change their sound - get a grip everyone. I just checked and not a single person has said this in the thread. Hopeless is just a garbage label that this band now fits in on. snacks4all
travis
Hopeless is FAR from a "garbage label". They just have a bunch of bands you dont like and they run their webstore in a way you dont like.
Ghost_Parlour*
That was some pretty bad music. Is there other stuff any good? I see a lot of regulars in this thread with good taste, so I'm wondering what's up.

The Earth Pushed Back is fantastic, was in my top 15 albums of all last year, right up there with TWIABP and Appleseed Cast albums imo. travis
The music? LOL exactly what I just said, you dont like their bands. That doesnt make them a garbage label.
Shelby
LOL exactly what I just said, you dont like their bands. That doesnt make them a garbage label. Why?
travis
Why? Your taste in music doesn't line up with the bands on their roster. That's fine but it doesn't make them a garbage label. Hopeless has great people running it/working there and they work hard for their bands and as far as I can tell they do right by their bands and take care of them. They are a great label, they just generally dont put out music from bands that you personally like.

I don't care about their personalities. snacks4all
dantheriver
^ the QC on their vinyl could use a huge improvement. I'm sure they just see it as a gimmick market and want to cash in. Someone needs to spend a little more time with their test presses and if whatever plant they are using keeps shitting out subpar pressings then they need to ditch them. parkinglot
snacks4all
I think its pretty fair for someone to think a label is garbage based on their opinion of the music that that label puts out. Shelby
Bladewillisisdead
Just checked out their lineup. A handful of bands from like 2003 that are somehow still around, some garbage, and some shit I've never heard of that I assume is garbage. But they did put out some Atom and His Package apparently? Is that garbage? I cant remember, but I listened to it when I was 14 so there's a good chance.
