abovetheearth
"Current text states that the value 4.69 is a "factor", and that it is intended to put the statistic on a 0-10 scale. However, it is shown as adding to the expression, not multiplying it. And (if I understand the components correctly) the other terms are all non-negative. So adding 4.69 can't possibly produce a value as low as the desired 0: At best, it might be a 4.69-10 scale." "And where did you hear this?" "Rad. From the boards." 6heart6breaker6

jerseydave77
Considering how much people here blow their time talking about the importance of vinyl...vinyl saved my life blah blah blah...I'd have thought many would be interested. I'm not because I hate documentaries, otherwise I would talk until cows came home.

monsterrod
I'd be interested in a documentary focusing on college students putting together polls about the resurgence of vinyl. slinch, GalacticMelt and BobbyHill
nancy_raygun
I'd be interested in a documentary focusing on college students putting together polls about the resurgence of vinyl. It sounds like the public reaction to that documentary would make a really great documentary

One Hundred Fifty-Two
This chart's interesting for a few reasons. It looks like when vinyl sales were going down in the 90s, vinyl singles outsold LPs by a lot. It looks like 2005-2006 is as low as vinyl sales went before it picked up around 2009-2010. Also in the current trend, vinyl singles sales are incredibly low compared to the sales of LPs. It'll be nice to see the trend of increasing vinyl sales in the future. Here is some analysis. Djs were still buying singles to spin. Now singles aren't popular because djs play computers. And/or jukeboxes in the 90s and touch tunes now. somethingvinyl
I find it hilarious that 1/2 of the people making fun of this are themselves part of the reason for the resurgence.
