chaz725
pretty stoked on this...hopefully it doesnt become a trend among major labels due to the price of the records and the fact that major labels tend to sabotage good things by over-doing something that works once...if that makes sense
chiefwahoo
If I am reading correctly, if you order multiple records, they send you whichever ones are in stock as they get them? I'd figure they would hold everything until the last one is received and then send them all out. You have the option to choose how it's handled at checkout. chiefwahoo
so do they know how many of each record will be pressed if they go over the 2,000 mark? "Build to order" so there shouldn't be a maximum. They just aren't going to bother at all for titles if they receive less than 2,000 orders initially

mikeian
these (i only checked radiohead and coldplay) are also available on insound. combine that w/ 10% off coupon code insound_rocks_07 and free shipping, and i saved around $28 or so from all the radiohead ones. =)

melikecheese
Do these guys charge your card when the order is placed or when the order is shipped? Also I'm seeing everything on the 1st page There are just no pics for them Also, where are the old school Megadeth LPS? I need me a copy of Rust in Peace They don't charge until they ship. Thank god because I pre-ordered an album in October that keeps getting pushed back. Credit Card association rules state that a merchant cannot bill a card until it has been shipped. Any that do are technically breaking the law. Be careful, you may see an authorization on your card as that MAY be done right away. This is very cool, glad that are not really expensive. I felt like a lot of the major re-issues were like 200 gram 50 bucks and just too much.

seafoamgreen
If you press over 2,000 copies of a record, they cost like $6 a piece MAX. This shit's a ripoff. Too bad I'm a fucking sucker for old Radiohead records. Repress the My Iron Lung EP and I'll buy that shit too!

Snaggle Von Swift
guess the R.E.M. didn't get enough preorders? that sucks.
seafoamgreen
I just pre-ordered all the Radiohead, Perfect Circle and REM records from Insound. Not sure if that means they're actually all being released or not. But this "Well, if we get 2000 orders, we'll do it..." is fucking bullshit from a company of this size. Just fucking put out the records and we'll all pay $20 for them like a bunch of bitches.

manicdogbert
i got the new reissues of Radiohead's Pablo Honey and OK Computer at "used" prices ($13 for PH and $20 for OK) yesterday even though they were still sealed. i would have gotten The Bends if the shop had them.
