scottheisel
http://www.noidearecords.com/download/ This will start with the new Bridge And Tunnel album from what I understand. Good to see this label specifically getting onboard with this!
dante3000
HELLS YEA! Depending on the Bitrate, however, No Idea may have just cut their income from me in half. Or doubled it as now I won't need the CD I can buy more vinyl

captainmorgan
Yay! I love to see labels getting on board with this. I would always way rather download the mp3s with a coupon than try to find them somewhere online. 160kbps is good enough for me. I've got the vinyl for when I want to hear it with good sound quality. skumbucket
160 is good, but it's no 192 (awaits countless posts about how no one can tell the difference anyways)... anyhow, this is kind of ironic as i just spent like $25 including shipping on both the off with their heads and bridge and tunnel pre-orders so that i could get copies of both the LP's and the cd's... zak138
I wonder if they'll be able to set it up so that you can pay to download it over and over again and somehow get a different variant each time.
scottheisel
Yeah, maybe the next download will be at a different bitrate! Can I get 180-gram MP3s?
andrews
160 is bullshit. I hate when labels do that, I'd rather them just not offer the download so I'm not stuck with sub par mp3s.
sgoodcore
Is it Variable-Bit or just all 160? It could be, if its variable, it averages out to around 160 but its higher in parts and lower in others.

What's wrong with 160kbps? It's not as if you won't have it on vinyl anyway for proper listening. Way to be ungrateful!
slymer
Dude, the Tim Version sounds so much better at 192 kbps!

kirbypuckett
Awesome news. They should've gone w/ 192, but no big deal. FACT: NONE of you can tell the difference between 160 and 192.
