¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I did, yanks or boston, only teams with deep pockets. Brewers offered $15 mil signing bonus, at least they tried
BuzzersonKillwell
Interesting. Makes sense a big team would dole out the loot but Cherington said they were basically done, so I didn't really expect another big thang. Hopefully it works out, I'm excited to watch the Sox this year.
sacredheart
Hamilton is meeting with MLB about a discipline issue. Supposedly not about PED's but "worse" according to Rosenthal. He has relapsed before and didnt get suspended, so I dont know if it involves drugs and alcohol. Only thing I could think that would be bigger would be gambling on the sport. kyacrash
Its gotta be drugs, really unfortunate I typed up a long rant about crackheads and second chances, but for the sake of brevity I deleted it all and will just say this: Fuck Josh Hamilton. mayoroftelevision
Opening day tickets purchased. Is it April 6 yet?
marc32137
Bought the tickets for me and my sister's annual Rays game trip today. We alternate who buys the tickets each year and we always try to upstage each other. This time I got first base side front row 2 sections away from the dugout. Can't wait! sacredheart
Man, Lee's career might be over, Yu probably needing TJ and Stroman out for the season because of a bunt drill. Injuries are already coming fast and furious.

Guest
Damn the Sox are playing good ball to kick off the spring. This offense is going to be crazy! #worst2first2worst2first
maneatingcow
Fantasy Advice - Keeper League having trouble making a couple of decisions. Adrian Beltre vs George Springer - I'm pretty solid on Springer but there is a little bit of me that wants to keep Beltre. and Matt Harvey, David Price and Jose Fernendez - I can keep two. I go back and forth on this to no end. Leaning towards Harvey and Fernendez, but I know short term Price is the best of the three.

Harvey and Fernendez are both coming off injury, so that always makes me pause, but man theyre so good. It would depend where they would slot in your draft... are keepers based on rd they were drafted, or are they assigned specific slots? whoshotthefrog
I think how long you are able to keep them plays a part too. If its just for this season then I would go with Price and Harvey because Fernandez is going to miss about half the season. I would keep Springer, but i'm biased on that pick. sacredheart
Id go with Beltre, he is a stud at 3B, and can still get you a few more years of great production there, opposed to the OF with Springer where you can come across someone with his talent a lot easier than at 3B. For the pitchers, assuming it is a keeper until you get rid of them, go with Harvey and Fernandez. You might miss out on having Price for this year but next year and beyond you will have the better two.
thebiglebowski
You'd be crazy to throw Price back. 271 Ks last year, in a contract year, no injury history, and on a far better team than either of those other guys. I'm not a huge Beltre guy but I'd go with him. You don't win your league in the first couple rounds (usually), but you can easily lose it. Steady production at a weaker position. thebiglebowski
Anyone want to have the Spring Training stats don't mean anything debate again? I point out that last year's leader in spring batting average was Michael Brantley.
maneatingcow
I locked in Andrew McCutcheon, Troy Tulowitzki and George Springer. Threw back Beltre because I'm really pretty enamoured with Springer. For pitchers I ended up going with David Price and Jose Fernandez. Was thinking I should keep Harvey over Fernandez, but like Springer I get man crushes and it's hard for me to think clearly. Plus I know a couple other guys in the league love Fernandez pretty fierce and they'd most likely draft him Round 1. Harvey is more likley to make it my pick so if I want him I'd have a shot at it. Thanks for hte input all.
thebiglebowski
Every league is different but as someone else said, Fernandez looks like he's going to miss the first half of the season. How can a guy like that go in the 1st round?
