martyk36
Hey Virgil, Now that you're starting to carry books, have you thought about carrying any of the 33 1/3 series? http://www.amazon.com/gp/series/1942?ie=UTF8&edition=paperback http://www.33third.blogspot.com/ don't know how hard/easy these are to get. Guest kingbuzzo
Some of these are really good and some are blah. The one for The Replacements "Let It Be" is amazing.
xunspokenliesx
Some of these are really good and some are blah. Agreed...some are really good and interesting and some are just downright horrible...
jhulud
From the reviews that I have read on Amazon, I guess it comes down to who wrote each book...I guess some are written by legit writers/critics/music expert whereas some are written by fanboys/girls... Some of the ones written by critics are ok I guess but most come off very boring. The ones by fanboys are hit and miss too but generally I like them more. forgeagain
They're books about records, basically. I haven't read any yet although I guess I wouldn't mind checking out the Nirvana one(s?). Virgil can definitely get them through Choke (or maybe even direct), but it's a matter of does he want to deal in anything non-vinyl. Tough call. lechevre
I just took a chance on the 69 love songs one. I really like it. It's pretty interesting. These are great if you're uber in to an album. For a casual eh, it's a pretty good album, I probably wouldn't pick it up.
rafter242
Cool concept, and from what I've seen, an interesting read, but $10 for a tiny little pocketbook?
scottheisel
They're not tiny at all; they're all pretty thick and full of information and critique. I'm currently reading this one:
