daniel
I just got my copy of Planet of Ice in the mail from VC and the packaging is awesome! I used to be disappointed when albums didn't have lyric inserts, but I think I've come to really prefer more sturdy record sleeves with art and lyrics. As long as they aren't cheap with the material they use (Even If It Kills Me ) I actually really prefer it.
rtw88
The booklet for the Burn, Piano Island, Burn LP is great. I'd prefer a booklet or insert to picture sleeves.

daniel
My copy of War All The Time had a big booklet in it. I hear a lot of people complain about it but I love it, even if it is the CD booklet enlarged.
monk0nuggets
I like inserts, but my favorite is when the lyrics are in the gatefold of the jacket.

von
I kinda get bummed when I get a cd style booklet, part of the reason why I would go the LP route is for the packaging, dont chep it!

thebaroness
large booklet. Printed record sleeves annoy me because they almost always shred in transit.

riddle350
I like inserts, but my favorite is when the lyrics are in the gatefold of the jacket. I back this. I big cool insert or booklet is nice too. Really when it comes down to it I just want some form of lyrics. I hate getting a record and it ends up not having the lyrics. minty
I really like it when the inner sleeve is printed with the lyrics, or the Gatefold sleeve has them in the center. But even a shoddy photocopied insert is still 2,000% better than records with no lyrics!
enjoyadrian
i like big booklets, like cursive's "the difference betweens houses and homes". big ol' 12"x12" booklet.

cj
i like when the sleeves are lined with plastic... not a ton of people do that anymore but it seems to keep the sleeve in a little better shape

heavyheavylowlow
Saddle Creek always have plastic lined sleeves, just that one gesture makes the record seem alot more value for money in terms of build quality.
