alphanumerica
I don't feel like stopping but all my money has been going towards collecting prints, music an non music, latley.
tankerdesk
I find it incredibly stupid when people don't buy something, simply because they think they'd all of the sudden be required to hunt down every single release/variation of that particular band, just because they bought one record. (Heard it a few times on this board about Hot Water Music in particular) Wait, didn't you see the sticky thread? If you own one color, you have to own them all. All or nothing! translatingthename
I was just about to say that. I don't view buyings records as collecting per say, I look at it as buying music I love. Sure it's cool to have a limited colour, but it's nothing to pull your hair out over. I agree.. I can never stop listening to music and I don't see it as collecting. davehoffa
If your tastes are broad enough, variants become infinitely less important in lieu of actually finding the albums you want, period. You should always be on the lookout for new sounds.
desensitizedbyu
I don't think I'll stop, but there are phases where I can't buy anything because I'm broke, like right now. It's hard as fuck to come on here.

Guest genericinsight
I've definitely slowed down my vinyl purchasing in the last few months. I'm getting back into the "I don't care so much" mode. Sometimes this lasts a while. But it always comes back.

mrc
since my gf is always broke that means im always broke because i have to pay for her groceries, college classes, and other crap so i havent been buying much. i was think about the whole variants thing... and i think im done pretty much. Im gonna keep up with the steinways because they are easily one of my favorite bands and they usually have 1 color and black so its easy. but i dont need to keep tabs on 20 no idea variants for Young Livers no idea releases... So long story short. im keeping my one favorite band and im pretty much done collecting anything else until i win the lotto.
konk
I'm buying more vinyl right now than ever, but definitely not more than one color of the same release anymore. I have a lot of stuff to get rid of that I was going to try to collect. I once thought I would do a Fat colored collection. Yeah right! claytin269
jeez, we should all win the lotto then. we could make a pool and buy a bunch of numbers and split it between the people who bought it.... or i could just keep trying and keep it all myself...........hmmmmmm
littlejonnyhormone
I wonder how much it would take for a group of people to play every possible number combination available. Divide it up among enough people to where it would be affordable to an extent to pay for. Then divide the winnings among those people. Does this make sense? claytin269
well they say the odds of winning the California lotto are 1:45,000,00 so I'd assume it might somewhere around that 5 numbers ranging between 1-47 and a mega between 1-27 = a shit load of combos. Bought my ticket this morning, I'm feeling lucky
