catalinacaper
Do you honestly think the heat wouldn't have made it to the playoffs in a regular season? That's a stupid criticism. They beat the best team in the West this year.
Guest
who said they wouldnt have made it to the playoffs? every single opponent lebron had was crippled by the referees, of course he dominated. some of the all time worst officiating.
Guest
i fucking hate lebron james, and 90% of it is because of his treatment. hes a very talented individual, and im being cheated out of seeing how good he really is.
jase
You arent seeing how good he is because you're blinded by your hate. Go back and find another player that averaged 27 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists in a finals campaign.
elgato48
They barely got past the celtics but it's easier when you have a lot of help
Guest
this is one of those situations where the up/down votes are needed
catalinacaper
Ry, I was referring to elgato's comment, about an asterisk title.
jerseydave77
As a friend pointed out, Eddy Curry finally has his well deserved ring. I've professed my love for Durant on this board and I was pulling for the Thunder but let's be realistic. While the officiating wasn't spot on, the Heat looked like a team where the Thunder disjointedly stumbled. They earned this title and were easily the better team in the finals. The most interesting theory I've seen floating: Phil Jackson to coach the Thunder. Imagine that.
BuzzersonKillwell
Mark Cuban doesn't seem to like Skip Bayless much. At least that is what Twitter is saying: http://thebiglead.com/index.php/2012/06/22/mark-cuban-eviscerated-skip-bayless-on-first-take-video/ nivek87
tylerrr
They barely got past the celtics but it's easier when you have a lot of help Seriously. The Celtics series was way better IMO because I'm a celts fan and also it felt so intense the entire time.
booyahachieved
I haven't followed the NBA since the mid to late 90s so forgive me for not being up to speed on this... but why does everyone hate Lebron? Other than the fact that he up and left the Cavaliers and his home state (where I live) for greener pastures.

Other than the fact that he up and left the Cavaliers and his home state (where I live) for greener pastures. It was that plus he produced a one hour special on ESPN called "The Decision" where he announced he was "taking his talents to South Beach." That didn't go over very well with anybody. Then the Heat threw a huge extravagant welcome party with him and Bosh before they had even played a game, and he said he was going to win seven championships. Basically he's an egomaniac. Guest
all that, and he just hasnt done much to present himself as a likable guy over the years. hell cry to the refs the one time he gets called for a foul a game, and continues crying any time they dont whistle someone for fouling him. again, i just cant see how anyone can support a team whos entire game plan is to assume youre going to go to the free throw line. nivek87
I believe it was 2009 where he walked off the court after the eastern conference championship loss as time ran out and didn't shake anyones hand and skipped out on the post game interview. collectivemike
Knicks = useless draft. The Hornets will be in the playoffs within one season.
catalinacaper
Really happy with the Magic's choice of Andrew Nicholson, slightly less so of their choice of Kyle O'Quinn. I think Nicholson is an underrated PF. I watched in horror as he nearly singly handedly eliminated the Seminoles from March Madness.. catalinacaper
I am. Dwight is going to get stuck, the Nets won't have any trading pieces/cap room to pick him up even if he waits for free agency.
collectivemike
Yeah he couldn't have made his situation any worse for himself, and I'm happy about that. Why would he bother signing for another year if he was going to say he wants out in the offseason? No idea what he's up to..
travis
Sounds like they have to trade Howard to the Nets, I really dont understand why the 2 teams cant get this done. I cant imagine that Orlando could start the season with Howard on their roster. I understand they want to get some good value in return but they arent exactly dealing from a point of strength here. They need to take what they can get for him and move on. Nets should be good though with Howard, Williams and Johnson. Sounds like all those guys will end up there. I heard today the Magic have no intention of sending him to Brooklyn, pretty much solely on principle.
travis
I heard today the Magic have no intention of sending him to Brooklyn, pretty much solely on principle. That's a dumb move on their part. If they dont trade him he'll go there next year anyways and they will get nothing. Im still hoping the Lakers will trade Bynum for Howard, I know it wont happen but Id love to have him playing with Kobe.
catalinacaper
How about the Bucks trying to pick up Gasol. I like it. Gasol/Rubio could be a crazy combo.
collectivemike
If the could pair up Gasol with Rubio that would be huge, Gasol could keep playing into his 40's if he had someone to run the pick and roll with.
