casey
Definitely The Weakerthans. Bon Iver is a good one. I always listen to Dismemberment Plan--Emergency & I a lot during the winter for nostalgic reasons. Since I first bought the album during wintertime several years ago, the two are kind of intertwined. For that same reason, Holopaw--S/T is a cool weather favorite. Generally, I find myself listening to a great deal of alt-country when it gets cold (not that that happens too often here, in FL).
mcm1610
Anything pessimistic or the "world's gonna end" sounding. Right now I've got GY!BE's F#A#(infinity) spinning. Edit: Thinking about this now, that's kind of weird, because I love winter, but that's always what I've got on - angry, negative, or just gloomy. monk0nuggets
I know a lot or people have music they prefer for different seasons, but I've never really noticed anything specific for any time of the year. I just listen to whatever I'm feeling at the time.

Guest genericinsight
ALSO, american nightmare is wintery music to me for some reason I see this. and considering what a fan you are/seem to be, how could you have forgotten this: Wrap your arms around me. I'm fucking freezing, and I just saw napalm in your eyes. Rip off what's left of another day, another crash. I'm not good with goodbyes. Moments like this don't just come and go, so soak it in. This is all I know. Hollow eyes have seen it all. They say it takes a lifetime for an empire to fall. I keep swallowing, choking on ashes, hoping that you will help me breathe. But tomorrow's not coming. There's nothing left to believe. You look like Christmas to me, pale and glowing. The streetlight catching you through the window. And for a split second I forgot all my failures, and the trash on the street below. I'm here with you. You're here with me. Let's try to forget. Flesh on flesh I just put that on. 'Tis the season.
