brentoage
i'm happy to pay $42 for this. there was no way that i was going to make it to a show, and i'm more than glad to know that the $$$ is going directly to the label and/or band. what a nice way to end my weekend. patron
so has anyone bought the BIN yet? I did. 13 already sold on eBay through Var, I say they last until the end of tomorrow.

If he wasn't willing to pay $400, then he shouldn't have bid $400. Not to mention the same dumbass bought another copy for $330, that he probably won't pay for. I know I wouldn't. Not paying for an auction you won is definitely a shitty thing to do, but I'd say getting completely raped on a record and then have it show up for $350 cheaper the same day is much worse. skumbucket
this makes me so much more confident that my boy danalive is going to be coming back from the chicago shows with a copy for me! RIGHT DAN?
Guest abravemorning
this makes me so much more confident that my boy danalive is going to be coming back from the chicago shows with a copy for me!RIGHT DAN? Probably not. I think he spent the money you gave him last night on booze and hookers. I preordered this already and don't care for 2 copies of the same record. PASS. boizee
I think it's pretty cool that Var is doing this...though it ever slightly makes me a little miffed about buying one in Orlando and treating it like the Mona Lisa in the airport, on the plane, all that. However, having copy No. 72/525 is a pretty cool feeling.
Guest vito
16 already sold through ebay. not to mention all the people that emailed and complained like i did that got 'em for $30-32.
thedisappeared
man. i guess my original rant was all for naught. i'm pretty sure i'll be ok to get one at the chi-town show. but seriously, how did var not know that this shit was going to get this crazy? kyle
so if you were in that buyers situation you'd still pay $400? If he wasn't willing to pay $400, then he shouldn't have bid $400. Not to mention the same dumbass bought another copy for $330, that he probably won't pay for. If he never intended to pay, then yes, that sucks. However, if you really want a record and you bid an arm and a leg and then the very next day you find out you can buy it directly from the label for $350 less its pretty hard to expect someone to pay that. I think not paying for auctions is bullshit too, but put yourself in those shoes, I doubt anybody would actually pay. Also, the buyer was bidding on a record that was /525. Now Var announced he pressed a shitload more and there's something like 800. IMO, that changes the game a lot. Still not saying its right, but I think its hard to say the bidder is a piece of shit for not paying for it when pretty much everyone here would do the same in his shoes. aws
Yeah i wouldn't wanna be in his shoes, But if the buyer was a nice guy he would let it slide
thebiglebowski
Yeah i wouldn't wanna be in his shoes, But if the buyer was a nice guy he would let it slide If I was the seller I would offer it to him for $40 plus the ebay fees on the first auction. adamlikesmusic
I think not paying for auctions is bullshit too, but put yourself in those shoes, I doubt anybody would actually pay. Countless times have I overpaid on things, knowing only after winning the auction that things were still in print, and available for a fraction of what I paid.
