rhythmgtr5
When you buy a brand new record from a store, how much warping is acceptable to you?

riddle350
I often have some slight warp when I get new records online and in stores. Doesn't really bother me. I've never gotten anything that was so bad that it messed up how it sounds.
thomas
As long as the warp does not affect playback I am fine with it.

xjustinxschwierx
As long as the warp does not affect playback I am fine with it. this is why the second pressing of the Methadones "Career Objective" isn't out yet...I got 500 records that are potentially unplayable on one side due to warping. Fuck United.
rtw88
As long as the warp does not affect playback I am fine with it. This. Also I recently got Good News for People Who love Bad News for $5 because the store owner said it was warped but it is barely warped and plays great. Fuck United. That is super shitty. What do pressing plants do if the majority of the press arrives warped? Say it's not their fault and your out a few gs? johntx
none, return that shit. (but on used records, always check!)
listentovinyl
i got one today that was warped so bad i couldnt bare to listen to it, im sending it back for a refund....
thebluedino
A tiny warp doesn't bother me much, but if its bad enough that I can clearly hear the warping during playback it pisses me off. I've got a 200 gram supposidly audiophile repressing of a Coltrane record that sounds like its being played back in a wind tunnel
mystic84
Possibly none.
robotfactory
any warp bums me out, but i typically just live with it. i recently purchased anberlin - new surrender, and it is warped sooooo bad. it plays ok, and i would rather not deal with returning it, but it is crazy wapred. funny enough, this was pressed by united. mcnail
Really? None? My records almost always have at least a slight warp.
jeffo
Really? None? My records almost always have at least a slight warp. I get mental about my records if they get even the slightest warp I will replace them, unless it's super rare. How is it possible that almost all your records have a slight warp? I know a lot of times records coming overseas can be really wobbly. Are you sure you are getting them warped and not storing them incorrectly or maybe your turntable is tweaked? numanoid
Nothing is wrong with warp, as long as you work at United.
