chiefwahoo
So I'm in Chicago for work and noticed that Off With Their Heads is playing tonight at the Beat Kitchen. Chicago folks, please tell me anything and everything I need to know about the venue. Primarily: Parking Safety of area/neighborhood around club Potential traffic issues (hopefully minimal at night) Advance tickets necessary? Thanks!! j4m35
there should be ample street parking. it's a safe area. you should only have to worry about traffic if you're going downtown, but i mean at 8:30 you'll be fine. i'm pretty sure you don't need to buy advance tickets. Guest falloutcollapse
tons of street parking, sometimes right in front of the venue safe area for sure no traffic problems around there normally around that time you might want to get advance tix to be on the safe side, but you probably don't need to have fun! this is my favorite venue

scottheisel
Yeah, it's a pretty nice venue. You enter in through the bar/restaurant, which you have to walk through to get to the actual venue portion of the building. Food's good, though. They'll custom-make you a pizza. Shit is tasty. kgry
I might just be getting there too late every time but I can never find parking. I have to park in the neighborhood a couple blocks behind. Cool place. Bathroom sucks.
dreamover
i'd say parking is 50/50. i always take the bus, but that might be more due to me not being able to find parking at my place around the time i'd be getting home. and i live about 8 minutes east on the bus. chiefwahoo
Keep the comments coming. I have no problem walking provided it's a decent neighborhood. How noticeable is this place both by car and by foot. Some venues have virtually no signage, others have plenty.
forgeagain
It's pretty obvious. Parking is fine that far west on Belmont. Another mile or two east and you'd have a harder time. But yeah, plenty of parking, as long as you're down with the Latin Kings, and not the Bloods or Crips, you should be good. Just make sure to flash the right signs when you see low riders drive by. Ha, I'll be careful what colors I wear. Living in Youngstown will make you paranoid. Plus I'll probably have to being my female co-worker with me, which is the bigger concern
