scottheisel
I just found out Gator Dawgs does $2 dogs on Thursdays -- even better!
baseballhotdog
Best thing about this year's Fest is that I moved into a house over the summer that is a 5 minute walk to all the venues. I don't have to worry about getting home at the end of the night and if I have to do a #2, then I can go home to do that.
rtw88
I think I mentioned this before, but you out of towners should branch out and try some places other than gator dawgs and leonardo's. Granted, they're good, you should try somewhere like Steamers/Buddha Belly. Not only is the food mind blowingly good, but Buddha Belly has some of the most accommodating, friendly staff I've ever encountered.

scottheisel
Dude, I don't know shit about shit. I heard there's a Bomb The Music Industry! house show Saturday night, but I don't know where. I think Dante's doing hotel-room shows again this year, too.
controlthebleeding
if anyone is having room shows, let me know. i'll have my portable 4 track and like to record it..
baseballhotdog
What Ryan said...Steamers/Buddha Belly is awseome. Not too far from downtown, either. Jon Gaunt was working at Buddha Belly a few months back. Also, one day a month they give a percentage of sales of curry to help out homeless dogs and cats. scottheisel
I just posted my interview with Tony Weinbender, the founder/curator of the Fest. Check it out, there's some pretty rad little tidbits in there: http://altpress.com/features/tonythefest.htm
scottheisel
Also, here's the Google Map I made for the Fest; I'm gonna start updating it for this year now: http://bit.ly/thefestmap
controlthebleeding
^^^^^ good interview. god i hate the day after fests.. well when you work them.. everyone thinks you have it so easy, yet theres so much left to be done before you can actually go home and actually sleep in.. i remember one year at sxsw, the day after fest, i had to be up at the convention center at 5am to load out 3 24' trucks.. and then go unload them into various storage spaces... I HATED THAT!!!! i don't know why i put myself through that stuff for 8 years...lol
