leerobert
Does anyone find that their listening habits change according to seasons? Now we're hitting Autumn(fall) & Winter is around the corner I find myself more inclined to listen to Jesu, Red Sparrows, Pelican, Ben Frost, Owen, Owls etc. than I do in the Summer, which is usually spent listening to such bands as Alk3, Saves The Day, Lifetime etc. Your thoughts? Guest kingbuzzo
For some reason my summers are when I feel like listening to black metal mostly. In the winter I'm usually in a hip-hop mood.
cj
i usually listen to mostly indie rock and the post rock/stoner metal drones during the winter. summer is time for hip-hop, electro and 80's metal
drabley
I have more activity based listening habits. Perhaps that's because I only have two seasons: hot and hotter.
goraiders
I listen to almost exclusively pop-punk/ska during the summer
monk0nuggets
Two of my best friends listen to music seasonally, but I really don't see any change in my habits. It's pretty random.
murakami
i am more likely to listen to something dark and/or instrumental on a dreary winter day
cj
i am more likely to listen to something dark and/or instrumental on a dreary winter day kind of my thoughts. i love Sunn as much as the next guy, but it's pretty hard to listen to a 20 minute track of drones when it's sunny and hot out. that's just me though, i'm sure to a lot of people that's the perfect time to listen to them
casey
We don't really have seasons here, but I listen to more punk in the summertime and mellow indie stuff in the week or so of cool weather we get here. My favorite winter bands are Owls, Weakerthans, Dismemberment Plan, Wilco, and Neutral Milk Hotel.
kirbypuckett
I def. listen to a lot of specific records in the fall. In the summer I try to keep things upbeat.
Guest errolwest
summer-cap'n jazz, algernon cadwallader, and other similar bands fall-owen/american football, and sharks keep moving winter-i hate myself, saetia, and black ships spring-a great big pile of leaves, and some times stellastarr*
littlejonnyhormone
Sundowner is big for me when it's snowy out, or long drives. That's all I can think of.
heavyheavylowlow
Summertime I'm all indie (which is nice, because that's my favourite kind of music) so I've got Neutral Milk Hotel, Arcade Fire, Portugal. The Man, Kay Kay, Anathallo etc. then when winter hits I just seem to listen to Ire Works and Hot Damn!
daniel
In the winter I like to listen to Bon Iver and Elliot Smith to pummel myself into deep depression and emptiness.
murakami
In the winter I like to listen to Bon Iver and Elliot Smith to pummel myself into deep depression and emptiness. pretty desolate music for the winter. Sun Kil Moon would be a great add to that list.

lonesomexloveus
summer is definitely pop-punk time for me.
mariawithoneeye
fall and winter is time to bring out the milosh and indie rock!
flicker
i dont specifically change my listening habits, but i've noticed i listen to certain genres a lot more at times. fall = folk, early emo winter = post rock, folktronica, (anything with lots of strings and piano) spring = orchestral pop summer = fuzzy-poppy-punk (ie Wavves, No Age, Japandroids, No Age), electro
bruins4ever
Fall is definitely more acoustic and slow-metal based. City and Colour, Sundowner, Jesu, Owen, Isis, Pelican, Frank Turner, Russian Circles, etc. I save my pop-punk and faster shit for the Spring and Summer. Winter is far more indie for me (Minus the Bear, Phoenix, etc.)
saxamaphone
Winter's the only time of year I listen to happy music exclusively.

kidamnesiac
[Radiohead - OK Computer] at the beginning of fall. [Rancid - ...And Out Come The Wolves] as soon as it starts getting warm enough in the Spring/Summer to blast it with the windows down.
