alphajerk
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350295928507&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT I own one of these. I actually bought it when it was originally released, not 100% sure but I think it was Vinyl Fetish on Melrose in LA? Can this be right? the description even says the sleeve has some issues. Mine is near-mint? I've cradled and loved this record, only played it a handful of times, what are the chances I could get near this amount if I were to sell it? I notice it's in Japan, is this some Japanese bidding weirdness? crazy

moonbeams
In Japan we have yahoo auctions which is way more popular than (but not as good as) ebay. I would say this is a great opportunity for you to make some money as at least one person is going to want one of these and willing to pay $1,
littlerobot
yea theres some pretty crazy John F. collectors that would kill for that record. Sell it while its hot with the news of John leaving the chili peppers.

alphajerk
Cool! Well, that's a unanimous decision. Let me add this, though, for further comment: I have been a voracious frusciante fan for many years. I believe I own every commercial john solo vinyl. I have shadows collide and the empyrean on LP I have all the 6 solo LPs, 3 of which are factory sealed. I have a sealed brown bunny soundtrack LP I also own the GSL special 12 7" set, which of course has the split 7" with omar and john. Now, if I sell this piece, I will be left with an incomplete collection. $1000 (I'm estimating more like $700 after true bidding and shipping and ebay fees?) VS a lifetime of knowing I have this big hole in the collection does this change anyone's mind?

selfreliable
I say sell it, and then hope you find it for a much cheaper price down the road, and complete the collection again.

I'd agree with this. Say you have to pay even $100 for it later....and you sold it for between $300 to $1000.....good times!
