dreamover
I'm very curious to hear the Flaming Lips do pink floyd. I hope there's a CD of that that I can get for my Dad, I bought him Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots for Christmas to try to get him into something new, I think he'd be way into hearing an album like that. I know it'll be on iTunes but I assume there'll be a cd.

I hope there's a CD of that that I can get for my Dad, I bought him Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots for Christmas to try to get him into something new, I think he'd be way into hearing an album like that. I know it'll be on iTunes but I assume there'll be a cd. It has been on ITunes for a while now. The physical CD release will come out on May 2nd. Remember: www.flaminglips.com is your friend. Actually, here is a tidbit. Late last year, Warner Bros. was trying to convince the Lips to get Zareeka out on vinyl. It was going to be a very lavish and expensive multi-LP boxset. I think they still want to do it, I think there is just a question of timing. If I hear anything new, I'll let you all know. SC
drewshannon
I'm definitely excited for a possible JEW Live 2xLP, along with Bon Iver / Peter Gabriel Split, and The Hold Steady LP. Let's hope I have a job by then.

oojavaguru
has an official list of definite releases been announced yet? it's a little over a month away and there's still more rumored stuff than confirmed releases. Still rumor. On the Record Store Day site itself, it mentions a new Jimi Hendrix Live EP that will be released for RSD that most stores/lists I've seen haven't had listed. Last year, we already had the link posted on the RSD site. I am sure stuff is being added, pressing numbers are being confirmed. We should see the site officially announce everything no later than March 18th (if you want to know why that date matters, let me know). Last year, the RSD website already had it's nice release list up: http://www.recordstoreday.com/Page/642 I am guessing that they'll do something similar. *******NOTE****** I just came across this: http://www.recordstoreday.com.au/ There is going to be a Record Store Day in Australia, NOT TIED TO THE US/UK Record Store Day Group, on Saturday April 19th. We should follow this website, as most major labels have their own pressing plants, etc. in Australia. So we *may* see or get additional releases that are specific/exclusive to the Aussie market. Anyone on the board from Australia? Try and get us a list (if possible) and we'll compare notes.
