Blue has a slight bit more surface noise, but I stress, SLIGHT during the 1st song then tapers off. The black copy played a bit quieter as far as surface noise goes through the 1st song. deafmx Posted July 28, 2010 Share Posted July 28, 2010 got mine yesterday. the first minute or so of side A and then again on side B have constant static. then there's a constant spot like a lock groove sound in the last part of the B side before the record ends. bummer. the rest of the record sounds so good too. When I first went to their site looking for contact info, I saw the "Ahh we're super busy shipping records post", so I put off emailing them because of it.
